Lovely meal. We went early 5.30pm to take advantage of the saver menu. Good food, good service, we did not book but by the time we left it was very busy so might be worth booking in advance! Well worth a visit.
Couldn't fault this place. Lovely setting, cosy interior, and not too busy for a weekday evening meal out. Attentive staff, lovely food, and full tummies! No complaints from us, and no doubt we will call back another time.

My sister and I wanted to arrange a surprise family meal for my Mum for her retirement. We visited the restaurant to enquire whether it would be possibly to arrange a meal for 16 adults and 2 children, along with a small space to decorate with balloons banners etc which they said was no problem.
Upon arrival, the staff had set out a fantastic space for us all. We were able to set up 30mins in advance for my Mum coming too which was perfect!
Considering our group was a little chaotic due to 2 newborns and 2 small children, the staff were absolutely outstanding in dealing with us all. To avoid difficulties with the bill, we were all able to order our drinks separately to the food bill which was a massive help throughout.
Considering the restaurant was fully booked, everyone’s starters and mains came out within a more than reasonable timescale and the food itself was delicious! Everyone ordered a mix of things from the menu such as pizzas, chicken dishes, steaks and fish and everyone’s plates were polished off. I personally had a pizza which was one of the nicest pizzas I’ve had in a very long time.
I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for everyone’s efforts in delivering such a fantastic evening. Every member of staff was brilliant and compliments to the chefs for delivering such tasty food for everyone!
We had a brilliant night with loved ones and wonderful food and will most definitely return.
I went here for the first time on Friday night, it definitely won’t be the last time. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I had 2 courses, antipasto, fish course and a pint, couldn’t fit a dessert in as I was too full. My kids had 2 courses, drinks and desert, we also had a garlic bread which we ended off taking home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, I would advise booking in advance.

Lunch menu - bruschetta and potato skins to start, margarita pizza and tagliatelle carbonara for main. Great size portions so had no room for ice cream, not complaining!
Lovely and welcoming staff, sat outside and enjoyed the view of the river, will definitely be coming back here 🥰
Food fab - service and staff amazing. We booked for 8 people with 2 children and the staff couldn’t of looked after us more.

Had a great meal ! Loved the decor . Very attentive waitress . 8 of us and all enjoyed meals at good price , good portion size , loved the cheesy garlic bread, others said prawns fabulous, steak great value and cooked well. Over all good dinning experience for all ages . One of our party has disabilities and normally struggles in dinning experiences, but she was so happy with her food it made a massive difference for all of us! as no issues and we we're all able to relax as she was relaxed. Very relaxed atmosphere which made a massive difference for her being able to feel relaxed and enjoy it . Which in turn gave us a great dinning experience. Thank you we will be back . Much appreciated.
Great food at very reasonable prices, lovely location
This was the first time I've been to Branzino since it changed from the former Boathouse pub and what a transformation. From first entering the place there's a lovely warm friendly atmosphere the restaurant is tastefully decorated with some quirky little touches.
The food is of good quality well presented and very tasty. We both went for different chicken options both of which were very good.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for an Italian with a bit of a difference

This place is located right by the river would be awesome during summers to have a meal outside.The ambience is like an old pub but with a little more charm.now the food was amazing we called for a chargrilled steak which was really nice and the peppercorn sauce was to die for it would be great if some mash potatoes were offered in the sides(u get options if chips salad fries) we also ordered some pasta which i cannot recollect the name but it was amazing and the owner or manager was kind enough to ask if we wanted more cheese which was amazing. the staff here are really friendly with a big smile and ready to help anytime.would definitely recommend this place if you craving for a nice steak or some Italian food or if you just want to hang out and have a drink by the river.......your welcome ,😋
Tremendous mixed seafood risotto with garlic (again), super portion, value for money and piping hot. Special mention for waiter/manager Hugo, also another waiter, for their service and friendliness. Fab interior and outdoor seating right alongside the River Tyne, Newburn. Great views up the shimmering river also. Recommend.
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food. We went for the 2 course lunch special for £9.95. The fishcakes were gorgeous. You have a lot now different choices to your 'typical Italian restaurant' I can't wait to return xx

Beautiful lunch while out on a bike ride....bolognese pizza was AMAZING....rich tomato flavour and delicious mozzarella!!
