Excellent venue serving THE BEST deep dish pizzas, either by the slice or the whole pie. The dough is beautifully light, yet filling and the toppings on the 'Pep Talk' compliment each other perfectly! Try the Ranch dressing too, perfect for dipping that amazing cheesy crust in.
One slice is perfect for you, lunch or pre theatre or drinks, a full pie (as the menu states) will easily be enough for 3-4 hungry folks. Excellent quality ingredients, great service and the pizzas are amazing, the prices are excellent too, I've taken a photo of the menu. 10/10.

Best pizza in Newcastle. This place is a real gem, the menu has a great selection of ridiculously tasty pizzas. Not much to say except that it is a must have if you're in the area.

Really tasty pizza selections.
I'm a pretty big eater and not a pizza lover by any means. But decent amount of choice and the thickness of the pizzas mean I would stick to 2 slices at most.
The pizzas were really nice, I got two slices waffle fries and a scotch bonnet sauce. The pizza options didn't have a spicy selection so if your more a spice person like me I'd get the scotch bonnet sauce.
Service was quick and easy to do so no complaints.
Overall if you like pizza I'd say give it a try with a few different selections.

Have you ever been somewhere so good, you return for a second time on the day? This is exactly what happened to me when discovering Square. If you're a fan of pizza this place should be on your foodie bucket list because it's exceptional to say the least. From a large menu catering to all (including Veggie and vegan options), to friendly staff checking if everything is alright with your order and having a chat with you over the counter my experience was flawless. The pizza itself is great, unlike any other pizza you'll find in Newcastle. Detritus style, deep dish with a burnt cheese crust with loads of creative topping ideas I guarantee you'll get stuck trying to choose a flavour like me. Can't recommend this place enough, I will be back!

Restaurant week. Select menu with meat, veggie and vegan options. Offer 2 slices, crust buddies and waffle fries for £15. Attentive service in a lovely venue.

Insanely scrumptious and unique Detroit style square pizza! A truly niche pizza offering in a city with seemingly hundreds of pizza places. I have had three pizzas from the menu and they were all exceptional. Not the cheapest pizza you’ll find in Newcastle but it is definitely worth the price.

To my limited knowledge, this is the only shop that serves Detroit-style pizza in Newcastle.
Square is a modern shop, located in a nice street (Market Street), where you can have your ‘unique pizza’.
Although it is not the best pizza in the world, you will definitely enjoy well-made, delicious pizza with a friendly staff. I will surely come again and again.
They also have vegetarian and vegan options.

We got the vegan red top, pep talk, and the regular red top. As sides, we got truffle waffle fries and the garlic slices.
All the pizza slices were fluffy in the middle and crunchy on the outside. There was ample cheese, and in the vegan red top, there was a rich bechamel-esque sauce. The slices were moist thanks to a good portion of sauce. The garlic slices were cheesy and extremely garlicky; exactly what you expect. Finally, the waffle fries had a nice crunchy texture and a hit of the truffle with each bite.
The only reason I'm giving them a 4* is due to the long wait (40 mins) during a relatively quiet time for the shop.

Amazing pizza....the Mexican special they do is one of humanity's greatest cultural achievements.

I've been a few days ago, and it's been really good! Might be a bit more on the expensive side for a pizza, but it's really justified - it tastes great and they use quality ingredients! Got my slice in a promotion with a side of waffle fries (which were nice too) and a dip so the total was exactly seven pounds - which is absolutely okay price for a meal. I never really looked for deep dish pizza, but if you're not afraid of a little change, you won't regret. Came back the other day and definitely not the last time!

Absolutely loved it. Generous toppings, super flavorful, and overall just very, very well done pizza. I was initally worried that it was just going to be too much crust, but oh my god the topping sauce just oozes through and it was delicious! I kept some slices for the next few days and it was still just as tasty (after heating it up for a bit).

Will definitely be back & have already told friends.

Pretty tasty pizza.
Bit pricey but it's good.

Living with a very picky pizza person, there are few places that achieve acceptance. Square is actively loved. Best pizza we've had in the city so far. But, definitely geared for take out. You can eat in, but it's better to go home.

I was never a fan of deep pan , well that's until I visited this establishment. Completely blown away by the pizza. It was so delicious , attempting to eat a full pie between two of us. Nearly caused our deaths. But yeah this place is awesome. Go there eat pizza be happy.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Detroit style reheats really well, but even so the pre-baked slices here hold up superbly. Booze and add ons are well thought out and it’s astoundingly good value all round
