The Williams Bar

This venue is rich in period charm. The property both shows it's age and gracefully provides modern conveniences. It is very clean and beautifully furnished. Very importantly, the staff are superb. Our function was overseen by Adam who managed welcomes, timing and absolutely everything else with competence and friendliness that added to the whole experience. (It was a wedding.) The food was well served, hot and fresh and very testy. The wait staff were efficient and courteous. Just be aware that some people may have difficulty with the stairs. If this is not an issue for you then make a booking because this venue is highly recommended.

I was here for a friend’s 60th Birthday function. The food was amazing and plentiful. The staff kept bringing out the delicious morsels of food throughout the night. Not like other functions and cocktail weddings I’ve attended. Would definitively recommend coming here to eat, or having your function here.

Great ambiance but serving size was NOT generous and the espresso martini was thin and average. Our charcuterie platter had about six thin slices of salami. Service was weird - the guy was way too eager to clear the table when it was obvious we haven't finished eating! It was like a compulsive disorder - he removed my wine glass when it was clear I was still drinking. We left the place not quite entirely happy with the food and service. Won't be rushing to go back.

Tried a walk in here with a bunch of friends for their engagement (12 in total), on a Saturday night. Security let us in and we continued in to the lower bar. The place was next to empty with approx 7 patrons seated. With 4 staff working we were refused service. The female hostess not providing an real rational for refusal and wasn't very tactful in approach. Very disappointing experience, hope this wasn't due to a few friends being of a different minority.
