Amazing staff. Amazing venue. Amazing food.
I honestly can't put everything in to words to how perfect this place is. My husband and I just had our wedding with Hugh McCanns on Friday 28th July. From planning the wedding to the actual day of the wedding, everything went as smoothly and stress free as it could have went. The staff are just incredible, on the day of our wedding, it was so relaxed for our guests, nobody was rushed, everyone at the wedding kept giving me numerous compliments about the venue and staff. The customer service that was given was outstanding. The staff met each and everyone, of everybody's individual needs, which we gratefully appreciate.
On behalf of the new Mr and Mrs O'Rourke, we would just like to say a huge, huge thank you for absolutely every little thing that each staff member did, on the days leading up to our wedding and the day of our wedding. We honestly could not have booked a better place.
We will be recommending Hugh McCanns to anyone seeking a venue or even just an amazing meal. We wish that we could rate this a lot more than 5 star!

I have enjoyed every meal that I have ever eaten in here. On Sunday I climbed slieve donard and when I came down the mountain called in for my tea. There was a carvery on which was the nicest food that I have eaten. The staff were very efficient and friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends
We got married at Hugh McCanns on 29th Sept and can honestly say it was the best day of our lives. McCanns is the perfect venue for anyone wanted a relaxed, fun yet stunning wedding venue. We absolutely loved the loft suite and use of the top bar....it looked amazing on the day with the backdrop of the Mournes. The food was really fantastic and service efficient, friendly and relaxed. Brenda was an absolute gem on the day....she really made everything run like clockwork and was so lovely to us and our guests on the day. Really can't recommend enough! Thanks to all your staff that made our day just amazing.
Got married on Thursday here and cannot rate it high enough. Venue and food perfect and as for the staff they lierally couldn't do enough for us and gave us the perfect wedding, Marc, Ryan, Cormac, Donna and Brenda to mention a few. It was the little touches behind the scenes that made it such a special day. For anyone thinking of booking their wedding here definately do it! We had a bbq the day after the wedding aswell and there was so much food and it was all soo tasty. The setting, decor and attention to detail made it brilliant and I cant speak highly enough for this place. Our guests have also all been raving as to how good the venue was over the two days. Cant wait to come back and visit. Thank you all soo much for making our wedding so special
Awesome food! Had a roast and it was crazy delicious, especially after a hike, and when I ordered "wheaten bread" on the side two different servers tried to bring it to me (which made my bread belly so happy). Would bring the fam back here in a second, great atmosphere!
Food was very nice. Restaura nt was quite cold on day of eating though otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Had some lunch and drinks here recenlty with our 2 dogs in the beer garden. The service was great, the food was excellent too. Water and treats provided for the mutts too. Good value meals and very tasty too! We'll be back again.
Delicious fish and muscles. Price is suprisely low to the locattion, amount, and quality of food.i will come back here definitely.
Note: few extra staff for cleaning the table could be more beneficial for this restaurant.
Great bar. Was busy when we went there for Sunday lunch but they had plenty of staff and we didn't wait long for our food. The food was great, as was the Guinness!
I recently officiated a wedding ceremony at Hugh Mc Cann's and I could not recommend the venue or the staff highly enough!
Lee and the team went over and beyond to ensure that every detail was in order for the ceremony to run smoothly.
The ceremony, itself, was outside in their gorgeous secret garden, and with the uninterrupted views of the Mourne Mountains, it was a truly wonderful experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this venue and I look forward to returning someday soon! :)

Wow, I can honestly say I had the best tasting meal out here. Chicken stack was amazing, cheesecake delicious. Staff were lovely and welcoming. I'll 100% be back again
Lovely boozer. Lots on offer. Food in restaurant, sports on TV, pool, outdoor area, quieter seating area. Friendly staff. Good Guinness.
