Newcastle NEVER disappoints me as I love to visit the Co Down town when I can. Cafe Creme was busy but not loud and overcrowded when we called in for lunch. Service was quick and our meal was tasty. Only downside for us was that the menu is up above the counter like a fast food place and I found craning my neck back to look up at it irritating. We had to choose what we wanted before we sat down at a table. I prefer to take my time and browse a hand held menu. Felt under pressure to select and move on. Wheelchair customers would probably find this style of ordering difficult. Had to pay for our order before we even received it or sampled it. Good thing the food was ok.

Really friendly staff and owner/manager who go that little bit further to ensure you enjoy your stay. They do a decent full Irish to get you prepared for the day at really reasonable prices. Highly recommended, always go here when I'm in Newcastle.

Great fry (all day cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs, soda bread and more) in bustling, well-staffed cafe. Regular coffee is refilled as much as you like. The cakes looked great too but the fry was entirely satisfying.

We went here for a coffee/tea and a snack after a walk round Newcastle. We've been here before and not been disappointed. This time we were told that they had no more scones, which surprised us. We had to settle for Apple pie and I tried a slice of "Oreo" cheesecake. The cheesecake was okay, but I would have preferred a scone, it was too sweet and perhaps that was why there was a lot of it left. Tea/coffee is always good though and service cannot be faulted.

Always enjoy Café Creme the staff make you feel welcome and they are happy to offer coffee top ups. Being a vegan they have introduced a good vegan menu. I would recommend a visit you will not be disappointed.

Excellent coffee, excellent service, excellent food items. This is a small cafe with a very focused team who strive to give a great experience to their customers. If I lived closer I'd be in here all the time, as it is I have to make do with visiting each time I'm in town.

After a blustery walk along Newcastles sea front we looked for a place to warm up with a hot coffee and maybe a bite to eat. Everywhere we tried seemed pretty chaotic until we came to Cafe Creme. It was very busy but we decided to give it a go and we were not disappointed. We ordered small Ulster frys at the counter and although we were worried about getting seated, the very efficient staff had tables cleared and ready for us. The fry was delicious. Bacon, sausage, mushrooms ( or beans), egg, potato bread and soda bread. All washed down with a lovely pot of tea, which gave us 3 cups each. We will be back!

Good vegan / veggie options plus traditional menu. Clean, comfy and central. Staff friendly and coffee and tea top ups are a nice touch. Best in the town.

Newcastle has a lot of choice when it comes to coffee shops. This small establishment has to be the friendliest, most accommodating and helpful of them all. Really good food as well and numerous top-ups.

Great food and coffee, always very friendly. I wish it had a view as we often end up across the road with the kids even though this place is so much better.

Good coffee and friendly staff here. Has the feel of a family run business. Food looked good, and it seemed to be quite a busy place.

Nice little traditional cafe on the main street of Newcastle. Love the fact that you are offered a top up of your coffee or tea. Friendly staff.
