Not just any country pub,but, one where there's friendly staff, good ale, superb food, comfy and cosy beds.
Would I recommend this place, YES!!

Good choice of food. Well cooked hot food, decent portions, hot plates.
Whitebait to share as a starter both nights. Steak and fish and chips first night, lamb shank both of us second night. Lovely Merlot.
First night locals were in, nice to see. Second night a large group of seniors celebrating a birthday. It was probably a good job we arrived before they did as we may have had to have waited a while for our meals. First night waitress charming, second night different waitress could have been slightly happier. Overall would visit again.
Just a lovely country pub serving very decent food. Lovely staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I had the fish and chips which were beautifully cooked.
