We stopped to get food on a long journey and this place is brilliant. They do excellent chips, not too salty, very nice fish, gluten free options, veggie options, really delicious and very helpful about timings and extras. It was busy, and I'm not surprised!
We have used this chippy multiple times in the 4 months we have lived in Newent and the chips are consistently good. They remind of chips I would have as a kid. I wish they wouldn't have to reheat the pies in the microwave sometimes but I understand it's a lot of waste if they are not sold from the

What a great find! Regularly travel to visit family. Such helpful and cheerful staff. We phoned ahead to order and to our delight they supply gluten free fish and chips! 👍👍The order was perfect and waiting for us. Was piping hot and delicious!!
Friendly service, nice range of good quality food. Responsibly sourced fish is good to see and the gluten free batter, is a bit of a revelation. Delicious! We're pretty much weekly visitors :)
Fantastic fish and chip shop with a wide selection of meals to suit adults and kids. Ask about the selection of sauces for the burgers and kebabs, there a lot to choose from! Really nice food, well cooked and friendly staff.
