Lovely welcoming atmosphere. I had a Caesar salad which was fine & my husband had sausages with veg which were crisp & tasty. The Ladies toilet was clean and there was a basket of sanitary products & babies' nappies available for anyone who needed them with a notice above saying "Help yourself". I t
The atmosphere was very nice, The service was also good. The food was nice, just a little too much salt on the cabbage. Otherwise, it was a very nice meal. Car parking was opposite the Hope Inn. A very nice view of the harbour, if you are upstairs .
Visited on a Weds afternoon, lovely location next to the River Ouse at Newhaven port ..on our visit just one cask ale Harvey's of Lewes plus a few keg beers. Did not eat there .
While very busy on the day we arrived. The staff remained very friendly and accommodating, even though we had a large group. Lovely venue, and it was great to see the large ferry coming into port. Friendly "old fashioned" British pub which serves excellent food and has a great atmosphere! We arrived really early for our 11pm ferry so this was the perfect place to eat and relax beforehand. The moules mariners was delicious! Friendly staff ready to have a laugh with us.

Quite a few years since been here. New faces but a warm and pleasant welcome from Leah (red dress) and chef. Young serving lady very pleasant and attentive 👍. Still a traditional pub, worth a visit.
Brilliant English pub! They serve food too! It's dog friendly! And it got seating outside during the summer too. Staff are friendly. One of the best pubs I've been to all over the UK.
Lovely Barstaff, great atmosphere and a quirky decor that I loved.The cask ale smashing and as for the food SPOT ON I had the pie (home made) mash creamy and fresh Savoy cabbage and carrots Simon had some of the plumpest and best muscles he. Can remember.All in all great place we will definitely be
