Really nice little pub. Cosy. Staff are friendly and attentive. The lady serving the food was brilliant. Very friendly and we had a laugh. The food is delicious. Possibly the tastiest chips I’ve had in a pub. Portions are good. The only slight downside was my fish was a little slimey and the batter
Busy, friendly, popular country pub. Usually have an exceptionally good 'specials' board but on recent visits this doesn't seem to be available in the early part of the week, probably due to their busy weekend! Otherwise there is the usual standard pub menu.
Friendly pub with good food… what more can you ask for on a Sunday? Nice interior with an impressive fire place area.
We booked this super little gem of a pub, the bonus was Thursday steak night which was a huge success with all of us! Puddings were delicious and huge portions. The only downside is we now live 200 miles away instead of North Chailey, but will definitely visit again when we come back to Sussex!

Just had dinner at the Royal Oak this evening. Hadn't been there before. What a find! The lady who served us was lovely. The food was delicious (tuna steak, followed by pecan pie and honeycomb ice-cream) and the overall experience / ambience was friendly. Will definitely be back!! Thank you for a lo
