Jelbert's had been at the top of my places to visit list for years and finally today we got to try Jelbert's iconic vanilla ice cream with clotted cream and a flake. Literally nothing better on a sunny October Cornish day. This place is described as an institution for a reason

Just delicious! I’ve been eating Jelberts ice cream since I was a child. Now that I live abroad, every time I come back to Cornwall on holiday I make a beeline to Jelberts. The taste and quality is as good as it’s ever been. Now my kids are addicted too!

It was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Parking nearby isn't great so we walked 10 minutes along the front from Penzance which was easy
I love the simplicity of this ice cream shop. They only serve vanilla so it’s a good job it’s very tasty! You can add clotted cream for 40p. At first this seemed like it might be too much but I went for it and you should too - what a combo! It’s cash only so take some out before you go.
