3 drinks for a tenner?! Bar staff that are always happy!? No drinks over £4.50 at all? Have we gone back in time?! Quirky, unique but one of the rarest of places not allowing greed and impossible running costs to stop them. No advertising needed. Go.

This is one of the nicest "proper pubs" I've ever been too!! Quality selection of cask and draught beers at.......3 pints for £10!!!! Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, will definitely be going back.

What a gem. Being placed conveniently on a popular walking route this pub could charge what they want, but the beer price is very reasonable (any pint £3.50) with lots of choice on tap. The homemade scotch egg was delicious too, and landlady very friendly.

Had a really good burger, hot dog, and cider! The flavor was amazing! And a cool walking path right near it!

Happy establishment- fish and chips on Thursday are much relished by all and sundry for miles around! John, the boss, is such a great guy- so kind in allowing my friend and I to use the facilities (very clean) when we called on a Wednesday when the pub is usually closed.

It was a great pub, mainly full of locals, but made to feel very welcomed. Unfortunately, no longer doing food.

Before we even crossed the threshold of the pub we got sweared at multiple times as a warning for our muddy boots. However, we preserved and ended up having some nice banter with the characterful landlady. Unbelievably, the pints were £1 each for a reason we couldn’t quite understand. Be warned that this is not a pub for the faint of heart.

SUPERB beer led thatched country inn, lovely friendly customers and the Licensee John keeps a cracking pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord! I'll be back!

Fasten your seat belt and strap yourself in for a wonderful ride of straight talking, turning the air blue with the landladies take on life and customers requests. Four of us chaps of a certain age stopped off on our bike ride for a pint, I asked if I could try an ale and was told in no uncertain terms "not at £2.50 your f*ckin not!!! " all served with wonderful humour to the great amusement of everyone in the bar. Great ale, great company. We will be back!

Interesting business model. £2 a pint, means beer is fresh great value. Makes you regret that you only have one stomach and somebody has to drive home. Strongly recommend.
