This is the only Indian place to eat at in Newmarket, and the only one we ever order from. It's a family hit! Portions are generous, delivery is usually very quick, and we have not had tastier dishes locally (we have tried several from their menu, and have not been disappointed. Even my picky four-year-old has a favorite :) ) They are always very friendly and helpful, both over the phone, and in the restaurant. The prices are more than fair, in my opinion, especially with how delicious the meals. are. I have even consulted the owner on which dishes are safe for me to eat, as I must eat gluten-free, and he is very knowledgeable and has given me ample choices, despite having a more restrictive diet. We are loyal customers, for sure!
I have lived in Newmarket for a year and have not really been impressed with local dining but I was shocked at how good the food was. I can compare it to dishes I ate while in India and would recommend them. Don't let the decor put you off. And bring your own wine or beer. Good value excellent food...
Don't under estimate the quality of food at this restaurant. I've visited this place 3 times now and I've never been disappointed by the food . The chilli chicken with fresh green chillies is excellent and the special fried rice is really good and delicately spiced to perfection . I've eaten at most Indian restaurants in Newmarket but I find this one a cut above the rest .Pop into Waitrose first to pick up your chosen tipple
A small family run business. Have eaten many times here, never had any tummy upset. If something is not quite right always rectified with no quibble. We go past many Indian restaurants to visiting here, I highly recommend
My only complaint is that the portions were a little small. The food is so good I could easily eat double what I got given.
Definitely try the biryani.
