Chez Talal

My friend took me here saying the Chez Talal has the most fresh and tastiest food. I was excited to try and it was the BEST quality shawarma I've ever had. I ordered the cauliflower dinner with a side order of chicken shawarma and I absolutely loved it! The staff is friendly and provide great service! can't wait to be back :)

Heading to nearby Newmarket Courthouse can be a chore from the westside of York Region. But not if there's lunch to look forward to Chez Talal! Following Kris' advice hasn't done me wrong yet, even when his meals are from 2-4 years ago. I guess something can be said for restaurant consistency! There's many rave reviews for the food here so I knew I had to try it out for myself as a fan of good shawarmas, gyros and döner kebabs. The meal here seems quite popular with young & old alike judging by the senior couple and then the mom with strollers. All of whom trekked here shortly after me. Now after visiting, I'm happy to report back that I was not disappointed. It was certainly one of the better shawarmas that I've had. A super friendly young lady at the counter expertly rolled the hunk of meat and veggies together before toasting for the crispy skin. Chicken Shawarma came with garlic & tahini sauces that were savoury though watery. The moist and flavourful chicken chunks melded well with the fresh veggies, sweet sesame, hot peppers & sour pickles for a flavourful affordable meal. It's true, Chez Talal is located at an awkward plaza, but the standalone restaurant itself looks fresh even having an outdoor patio if you're in the mood to watch road traffic. You're in a good mood anyways after a mini-food coma of a meal. Heck even the ordering counter with the strange UV lighting is fun and eye-catching!

Excellent food, service & management! I drive all the way from hw7 and woodbine at least once a week to visit this place because they have the best shawarma. Today My wife and I got the mixed shawarma plates on rice. Everything is always fresh and the portions are huge. I've never had shawarma as amazing as this place! It definitely stands out from other shawarma places from the kebobs to the shawarma to the salads. The taste has always been beyond satisfying every time we have been 😍 We have tried shawarma practically everywhere from Toronto, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Scarborough etc and Chez Talal is by far the best! Highly recommend!

Oooh this place is amazing!!! Ordered the chicken kebob low carb dinner with garden salad and it was delightful😋 My husband ordered a chicken kebab dinner which comes with rice, chicken kebob, sides of hummus baba ganouj & garlic paste, along with a complimentary pita and pop! (The dinners always comes with sides unless you ask for rice only). Discovered my new fav shawarma/kebab spot! EXCELLENT management as well

My wife and I had a lunch here today. I had the chicken shawarma dinner with rice with the works and a drink and my wife had the lamb kabob dinner with fries the works of toppings and a drink. The service was very friendly and the food was fresh tasting with great flavours. The total cost was around $38.
