Great dining, food was delicious. We had the Christmas menu. Second time we've dined and the meal was excellent. It's been redecorated but feels like it's lost its character.

We've just had a lovely meal tonight. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Thursday night is pie and a pint for £10. The meal was freshly cooked and the pie was homemade, it came with fresh vegetables, mash and roast vegetables and gravy. I'll definitely be going back.

The pub atmosphere is on a good vibrational level. Everytime i go here something happens good stories. GOod pranks too.

Another characterful English Inn. Popped out of the blue to have a meal with 2 family members and was treated like a local. Food, beer and atmosphere is top notch. My meal was fish & chips and it was very fresh and tasty. The Charles Wells Bitter was very tasty too and we will certainly pop in again when in the area.

Treated to lunch by my mother in law. Food was good and well priced and they had a selection of alcohol free bottled beers to help with a dry January pledge. Happy to eat there again.

Sunday lunch was sampled due to the good advertising outside drawing me in. It was soon after noon and so fairly quiet but soon began to fill up with walk in and pre booked customers. I chose the roast pork which came with all the trimmings. Fresh veg and thinly sliced pork made for an ample meal. At just under £10 it was standard fare. The staff were friendly and attentive.

New owners need to be congratulated. From previous visits this pub has been run down and now it feels fresh and staff are friendly enough. The rear garden is much better now and the toilets are 100% better than before

Popped in on the off chance, it turned out to be their steak night.the steak was very well cooked and well presented. A large steak , chips peas and tomatoes plus a pint or glass of wine all for£9.99 good value for money. Would recommend .
