Went here when it first opened and its certainly hasn't gotten worse. It fact the place is like a fine wine. Anyone that knows me will know I love my food and have been lucky to eat food all over the world. This place a hidden gem and would recommend it to anyone. The owners/staff are lovely, venue, beers and food are all top of the shelf. My brother treated me to the weekly special pepperoni pizza burger with garlic fries and a tiny rebel IPA, the best burger/fries I've had in the UK and in the top 3 of all time. Try it you won't be disappointed. See you guys at MeAT again soon

Fantastic gem of a place. Such a great atmosphere, amazing friendly staff and probably the best burgers you will ever eat!! Highly recommend this place and will be returning soon. Quality tasty food with amazing service, enough said.

The decor hits you first. Quirky and fun. Then you see the open kitchen,I love to see my food being prepared. Then the food arrives and it tastes as good as it looks. The J.D burger sauce is slightly overpowering in taste, which is a shame cos you need to taste them burgers. They are the best burgers ever.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. Even though it states that it's fresh food and not fast food on the menu, the meals came out in good time and tasted so good! There were eight of us and we hadn't booked and they accommodated us very well! :)

The owner or manager here is absolutely lovely and I really like that he treats his staff well and manages bookings so that they don't get too stressed out. I think a commitment to them is great as it means your food isn't rushed and is prepared the way it's meant to be. We were a big party and they handled us really well, all of us being served at the same time and getting what we ordered. Between us we pretty much ordered most of the real and secret menus! Highlights: battered halloumi and spicy chicken fingers. These were both delicious either as a side to share or as a starter. Lowlights: the nachos were not presented well and the portion felt a little mean. Rather than one flat layer of nacho chips with very little cheese, what seemed like a tablespoon of guacamole is not great for what is meant to go between four people. A little queso, pico de gallo and some layering would have saved this dish! On the whole the food is lovely but I would echo what other reviewers are saying in that the burgers are quite dry and with only ketchup and mayo on the table the burger for me just felt like it was lacking something. I completely understand leaving sauce off - not everyone is a fan but having the option of mustard / burger sauce available would set it off completely. There is a secret menu with a chilli burger on it which is absolutely delicious. You can also order sweet potato fries from it too. All in all I would definitely go again and like this place. The music in there is great and that alone made my meal. It seems to be going for a Shoreditch vibe and it very nearly gets there.

Food was great staff was great to talk to and the service was great also I came here for a surprise Birthday meal in which my wife organised and we all had a great experience prices were reasonable as well, I would deffo come here again. 👍🏾

The burgers are excellent fresh, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the chips are not up to the same standard. They seem like those from frozen supermarket bags. It would be nice to have the option of home made chunky chips. Take a page from 5 Guys for the chips. Poor chips actually diminish the otherwise excellent experience.

I had a nacho burger and it was delicious, the burger was very moist and not greasy at all. The toppings were fresh and tasty and I really liked the crunch of the tortilla chips. It was a very sturdy and tasty burger. My only gripe is the dirty fries were very poor in my opinion. They were expensive and just not up to scratch, they were super dry and sparsely topped. I think they could be improved with more sauce and better fresher toppings. I don’t really understand why they used dry bacon bits when they have so many fresh ingredients. Apart from that, very good and I will visit again. The burgers are inventive and the decor inside was cosy and quirky.

Amazing burgers! They cater for coeliacs/ gluten free diets & the owners are so helpful. We had a great meal and really enjoyed everything! Service is perfect and they welcomed our little dog, even coming over to greet him. Definitely book a table!
