Worth the hype!! The toastie was amazing, got the classic one and wow it was so filling! The interior and vibe is nice, doesn’t even feel like Newport (more a hip and trendy cafe in Bristol) and there’s a cute dog that roams about! If you are in the area then come, one of the best things in Newport

Cheese lover’s heaven! What more can I say? Brilliant selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, with some really creative varieties. Friendly staff and cool decor too. Much better than our usual motorway service stop. We’ll be back! Note from my husband: ‘This is the best place in the world - the pinnacle of evolution.’ 🧀🧀🧀🧀

Fantastic little café specialising in amazing grilled cheese sandwiches. The Chilli Con Carnage and La Mona Pizza are fabulous.

Absolutely amazing business. Food always on point - tastes incredible! Everything I've had so far is awesome. Customer service is perfect. From the person who always has the nachos and blondies without fail, cheesey love.

Great options, veggie/vegan friendly. My only issue is they close at 3pm 😂

So so good. If you like cheese and cheesy toasties, I think this is the cheesiest restaurant ever. I had the morning glory and the chilli con carnage and they were both delicious (would add sriracha or ketchup to the morning glory) the coffee was also good. A very friendly guy served us. All in all, I would say it’s gloriously cheesy. Would go again.

Sandwiches full of cheesy goodness. Grabbed a takeaway and the food was out fast and fresh. We had the Chilli Con Carnage and the R 'N' Brie; both were really good!

Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. 2 sandwiches and 2 fizzy drinks were about £14. The sandwiches had a ton of cheese! I was full for hours. They have vegan, vegetarian and meat eater cheese sandwiches. They also have pastries (vegan and vegetarian). The staff were lovely and I would visit again. My only complaint is that the cafe was very echoey, which made hearing conversations difficult. Some sound absorbing panels would be good (and you can make them yourself with rockwool insulation and 'acoustically transparent' fabric :-)

Most amazing gourmet sandwiches and the best fries(truffle & Parmesan cheese topped) I have ever eaten. For the sake of my health I won't visit every week 😂 but oh dear got I want to eat there every day 🤤 Great service and well priced 👍 Thank you holy cheesus!x

I love the food. But it's frustrating that they will randomly not do delivery or even take orders, it's happened on three separate occasions now. Makes me sad. I would drive down if they rang and explained something like a lack of delivery drivers rather than just canceling my orders I really look forward to my cheesy hart disease filled pockets of joy 😭

These amazing guys did a pop up stall at Cheesefest. They were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All I heard was how amazed friends were that the guys attended and the food was as fantastic as in store. The food was stunning and I hope you guys are at any other events we attend as they are brilliant. I would highly recommend to friends and family. All I can say is give them atry you won't be disappointed!

Such a good vegan sandwich, I went for the jo no pastrami which although no pastrami was offered an alternative in it and to be honest made no negative to the sandwich. The service took a little longer than may have at other times but we did get an apology during this time amd could see that a big order had been placed before us. The iced coffee was amazing as well, such a good one amd able to get oat milk was great. We look forward to a return. The only criticism really is no high chair for younger children, but the sandwich for the child we had a box to take with us and was enjoyed a bit later so for even criticism it was catered for. I would recommend to vegetarians and vegans for a good toasted sandwich. Not the largest vegan selection but tastes great and customisation available to increase what is available. I certainly will return, just wish I took a photo but it looked too good and I wanted to eat it straight away.

Nice vegan options that are a little different washed down with oat milk cappuccino. Just love the name - it caught my eye and made me laugh! Nicely decorated and very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the loud music - but that might just be my age as I prefer to chill in the morning 😊

You won't find a better place to eat in Newport. It's a little piece of heaven for cheese lovers, not a massive choice of menu. But this is where the old adage of quality and not quantity comes to mind, simple, effective and definitely delicious. The two lovely people (Vern and Emily) who run Holy Cheesus are friendly, polite and always have time to chat with the customers. It's our families favourite place to stop in and get a fix of toasted cheese sandwiches. 10/10
