This place has certainly changed since my last visit many years ago.
I went to the New Years fancy dress party and it was fantastic to see how clean and tidy things are. The staff are friendly and the food was superb. The French trained chef speaks several languages and his food speaks for itself.

I have never stayed at the hotel, however over the years I have eaten there many times. My first visit was pub grub, quite good quality for the price. A later visit, and I wondered what the hell had happened. The food was atrocious.
BUT, my last two visits to the Milton, and
Clean, tidy room which although small was comfortable.
Dinner was excellent, large portions and piping hot. Good selection on the menu.
The owner Anthony was extremely friendly and helpful even managing to print an urgent document for me. The staff were also polite and helpful.

A lovely local pub hotel, with a warm welcome and friendly staff. The hotel does meals and a very filling breakfast is included. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great value for money. We happily stay again when visiting Cardiff or Newport.
Warm comfortable rooms, real homely feel about the place. Staff are amazing they can't do enough for you and always have a smile on there face. Amazingly placed, close enough to everything without the noise of a busy town. The food is amazing and well priced. Definitely coming back
Took my family and friends to the Milton today for a Sunday roast.
Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly.
Food was amazing. Lots of choice, great portions and tasted delicious.
We will definitely be going back with friends.

I was disappointed with the very condensed and basic menu options given for the evening meal. But it (rack of ribs) was good, beer reasonably priced, atmosphere was good. However it appeared to just be cluttered with tat. Gutted the snug is now another table, no fruit machines anymore.

Beer, spirits and wines, had plenty to choose from. Bedroom ( ours was room 4) was beautiful with a comfy bed. Great breakfast choices to pick from to suit your tastes to pick from. Will definitely stay here again next time we
Brilliant place to stay at. Bed was comfy, room was a good size and all staff was really friendly. The shower is a bit too small to move around in. It is located in a nice peaceful area not to far from a retail park that has many restaurants and shops. The retail park also has a Tesco extra.
FAB makes the place, simple but clean accommodation. But the service by Fab and his team second to none. Amazing breakfast and his pizzas honestly one of the best I've ever had.
Country pub meets boutique bar to give the old fashioned experience in a comfortable and clean setting. Freshly prepared food to a standard you would not believe possible. Cannot help but visit.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Milton Hotel on the 08/10/13, we have stayed in some lovely places and the night previous we stayed at another four star hotel which was nice but had one important difference, !!! the customer service we received from Shelley and her daughter !!!
My family have been coming to the Milton for over 50 years. Gone are the days of the shovehappeny and darts teams and regulars of old. Great food. You will need a big appetite as you wouldn't want to leave any of the wonderful food. I had Pate followed by lasagne, chips and garlic bread, all homemade and delicious.
