I have been visiting the Risca fish bar for over 50 years under various ownerships. My family all originating from Risca, we visit here three or four times a year. This place has everything, flavour, good sized portions and friendly service. You can't go wrong with this place. Risca has a few good fish and chip shops, but this is the best. Ask about "Irish Curry Sauce" I always do !

Food was really nice seasoned well piping hot .The sausage in batter was tasty , not too much batter and hot till the very last bite .I will definitely eat here again
The food is great , but the owner needs to sack one female older member of his staff, totally rude, arrogant and abrupt. Example
" what you see is what we got "
" tell the next customer who comes , that's it, we're closed " this comment was directed to a younger member of the staff. Sorry but it needs to be said.. But the food is great .
The best chips in risca always loved this place growing up and I left risca for about 7 years recently moved back and itβs still the goat

nt got in the range, that you really would like. Not expensive, good management/owner nice staff. Busy dinner times, as they have a small cafe .But they don't keep you hanging about in the shop or cafe. All round experience for many years
