Absolutely stunning π we travelled from blackwood the first time trying and it was delicious π and paid them a visit again last night the food is faultless the chicken balls are very generous with meat the salted chilli chicken is bang on!! Portion size could be considered? We also had the beef chow and it was spot on!! Can't wait to try more.... I would like to add how nice the owners are and very accommodating
Don't know why there are bad reviews for this place, I've been eating here at least once or twice a month for about 10 years (except during covid) and have never once had a bad meal. I travel from Bridgend just to come here as it's the only Chinese I trust to consistently provide fresh and tasty food - I always dine in as they obviously don't deliver to Bridgend. The mussels in tender oyster sauce and crispy shredded beef in particular are worth trying. Vietnamese spring rolls, dumplings, wontons and bbq ribs are also really good. Staff are always friendly and food is cooked to order so always fresh. I'll continue coming here as long as the food stays so good.
Best chinese about that I've tasted I travel a good few miles just to take my food home I love the staff lovely people and its clean and tastes amazing π
First time trying this place. We stopped on our way home. The place looks very clean and the staff was friendly. Food was tasty and the portion size was perfect. Good quality and price. We will definitely try it again :)

Booked for a table for 4 for this evening, easy to book over phone. Staff all came out and greeted us on arrival. Food was absolutely amazing. All freshly prepared and really tasty. We had egg fried rice, beef in black bean sauce, ribs, mini spring rolls, chicken & prawn balls, crispy shredded beef, satay chicken, chips, chicken chow mein, chicken curry, chicken wings, chips & prawn crackers π quite a feast but some was brought home. It was all amazing. Highly recomend Honour Garden and we will definitely pay another visit. Thank you to all for making our night so enjoyable. π
Best chinese takeaway in Newport,been a customer for nearly 40 years,will add extra ingredients to meals if required,love the Singapore noodles,extra spicy with added green peppers,the special curry is delicious..
The reviews appear either one star or five. My daughter and partner are both vegetarians. So by default they are a little fussy about what they eat etc. Both reported this was the best Chinese food they have eaten. The plates were empty which is always a good sign. Lovely food served up be an elderly couple not the fastest cooks. But clearly know how to cook. Will certainly go again to the best Chinese in Newport.
A place we visit regularly and we do this because the food is faultless, its always fresh and tastes wonderful π . The staff are always welcoming and friendly with a π π. I highly recommend that you try this Chinese π
Just had food delivered from the Honour Garden. Crispy shredded beef, egg fried rice,chips,sweet 'n' sour chicken and noodles with bean sprouts. Was told it would take 40-50 minutes and it arrived bang on time. The food was gorgeous. Tasty and plenty!
I will Defo order from there again when I'm next in the 'port'!

Brilliant Chinese food!. Would recommend this restaurant fresh tasting ingredients and lovely hot food especially for such a big order.
