Dusit Thai Cuisine

We dined here for lunch and have to say it’s busier than we expected at 1pm. They have huge dining space and the place is decorated really well. We ordered salmon in basil sauce and tom yum noodles with chicken. Both were really good! Portions were huge and the prices were also quite reasonable. We got chicken satay for appetizer and it was okay. The peanut sauce could have been better I think. Our server was very nice, but also the only person who was going around and managing the whole place. I would definitely suggest having more staff. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

I put 4 stars out of respect and reputation, but I had a frustrating experience. I came from Canada to eat in this restaurant. There is a sign on the door that says "open from 11am to 7pm" which are shorter hours than mentioned on Google... I got there at 6pm and was told it was too late and that the chef was too busy... and that the dining room was only open for lunch. I have fond memories of this place which I had not visited since the pandemic, the food is very good, but call ahead !

hours are tricky and often change due to the restaurant being so short staffed but the taste of the Thai food served here is worth it. You have to try their pad Thai, so so good. Huge servings too. Also the shrimp calamari was absolutely delicious. We ordered sweet and sour pork, and although we would have enjoyed it more if there were more meat than vegies and spices, still it was good. The Thai milk tea is also one of their best sellers.

It is hard to imagine how to Dusit Thai could improve. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere delightful, and the food is stunning! Such marvelous flavors and textures are crafted into your meal that one is not just presented with a satisfying meal but a wonderful work of art. Dusit Thai will in no manner disappoint. The staff and food are truly a crown jewel in the heart of the NEK.

Update: 5/11/23 place still the same but there were only a few diners, there was an insect on my thai tea but was immediately replaced by the i guess owner. Service is still great. The atmosphere is calming. Adequate spacing between tables. Parking area is around the main st. Or you got to find a place for your own. Server is nice but they need more definitely since she is running back and forth nonstop. Price is quite expensive for what the quality is, u get more aromatics, raw vegetables which for sure i knw should be soft or atleast boiled first. There is this i guess vegetable on the DS talay thai that is a choking hazard and the squid is not cooked well to that it is hard to chew. Place is clean. A/C is working. Table presentation is nice. Definitely if more staff are hired then it would be better.

This place is great! I love Thai food and they offer some delicious dishes! Big menu. Wait staff is excellent and personable. Good place to take a date. Very pleasant environment and music in background. Bathrooms clean. I like the thai iced tea and red curry or maybe duck. Only drawback is during tourist season, this place can get packed with long wait line. That's why I gave 4 on the service but it only is slower due to tourism in summer. The rest of the year, service is a 5.
