Coach & Horses - Newport - Photo album

Visited yesterday for lunch. Spotted this delightful venue on the way back from Saffron Walden. Lovely friendly people, food was excellent and so well presented. Be warned if you order nachos, it was the largest but the most delicious I've ever tasted!!
Lovely Bank holiday lunch food was amazing. Service was a bit slow, and unfortunately the coffee was terrible weak and cold , we had to ask for sugar and when it was bought over we didn’t even have a tea spoon with our coffee , so service could be improved .
Perfect Sunday lunch location. Cosy, nice food, pleasant atmosphere. Pork roast was excellent, bread and butter pudding is to die for. A pub that starts their extensive list of puddings with bread and butter pudding is a rare find these days, but a really good sign, as proven here. Hoping to return
Really nice visit. The place is completely different inside to what you think it will be, it's a high quality fresh modern refurb. Immaculate and we'll spaced out. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Very grateful they managed to fit us in on a Sunday!! Food was excellent - Real high quali
Can’t fault the C&H - keep coming back and it keeps getting better. Food is excellent - especially so at the price point - and service and ambience are excellent. The manager is friendly and engaging, and the range of beers is superb. Will be back, soon!
Stopped only a few min for a drink during a ride... really nice place and really nice guys at the bar... really lovely.
The beer is always in top notch form, and the food great, with generous portions. Service is good, and there is a huge open log fire in the colder months. The pub has a huge garden too. Dine in the bar, the restaurant, family room or outside. Recent specials included Chicken & Chorizo Quesadillas
Nice Adnams and lovely food. All three of us had roast beef sunday lunch which was excellent, Yorkshire pud as it should be. The apple and cinnamon strudel with ice cream home made and delicious. Unfortunately short staffed with two staff in training so service was v slow. The manager was clearly do
The landlord made room for us even when the pub was very busy , we had a 30 minute wait for food but was it ever worth waiting for, we had pulled pork burger , pulled pork with nachos and a beef burger. Needless to say we will be going again.
Had a lovely family lunch here on Saturday. The food was lovely and a good varied menu. Staff all very friendly. Particularly liked the children’s menu .. all freshly cooked and not your usual frozen children’s menus. Would recommend and look forward to our next visit.
It’s a lovely village pub, a little pricey but aways very polite food was great last time we ate just lost stars for value for money,
We’ve been here many times and the service, food an atmosphere is first class. We called in without a reservation on a wet and cold day and we were met with a warm welcome and a table. I had the shortcrust pie & mash which was amazing. The Coach & Horses has mastered the difficult combination of
Great food and lots of choice. Service was fun happy and attentive. Wine was cool and much enjoyed
We attended the annual Gaynorfest festival of local bands. Excellent food and drink, music and a great weekend
Well worth visit nice food and friendly staff
Popped in for a quick afternoon drink in the sun. Amazed at the refurb, the place looks amazing, inside and out. Friendly efficient staff. I will definitely be returning in the near future for some food.
So glad we found this place, the good reviews aren't wrong. A great traditional looking pub with a wide range of beers. Food here was exceptional, had the lamb kofta and the duck salad and both were lovely. Really pleased they are not afraid to put flavour in there. Both plates just zinged with
