Fabulous service and amazing food. Defiently get your moneys worth. Highly recommend! Friendly staff and dog friendly pub. Will defiently be going back.
We’ve just had dinner at The Two Clomes; a lovely warm welcome, friendly staff and atmosphere, a great menu, and plenty of lovely, tasty food. Excellent value for money, we WILL be back and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks from the Landers. :)
Delicious and generous vegan and vegetarian roast dinners. It is so refreshing to have such a variety of vegetables (and a giant Yorkshire pudding for the vegetarian). Staff were very helpful and friendly and provided us with reassurance regarding ingredients. On a very windy and chilly day, we very much appreciated the fire burning away. Great atmosphere and beautiful building.
Amazing food, lived up to all the great reviews, sensational tasting food, freshly made, staff are polite and relaxed. Lovely relaxed environment - would highly recommend.
Yesterday we made an impromptu visit here, the food was lovely. The restaurant was lovely and cosy, afterwards we sat outside in the lovely garden. Service was quick and friendly, highly recommend. We most certainly will be back. Thank you!
What a little gem! Ate here for the first time last night and couldn’t fault it. So lovely to have such friendly, efficient staff and to be made to feel so welcome by the landlord and landlady. Highly recommend the fillet steak too! Oh, and the fact that it’s dog friendly too is an added bonus. We’ll be back!
Lovely pub with great customer service and fab food. I would recommend!
Great food, excellent beers and ales, and service second to none, and to top that off the best Sunday roast going in Newquay
Working away down here and we were pointed in the direction of the 2 clomes and what a good point it was. Service was brilliant and menu and special menu left me spoilt for choice! Food was absolutely sublime and will definitely be visiting again when in the area! Hats off to the chef and crew!
Fantastic food, staff were so accommodating to our fussy kids, everything was presented beautifully. Would definitely recommend and will be returning on our next trip down to Newquay xx
The Two Clomes is a hidden gem just outside Newquay. If it was on the main sea front it would be inundated. Having said that, it is pretty busy! We have been there three times and each time it has been spectacular. The service, atmosphere and quality of the food is outstanding. We had a fillet steak tonight and the time before - the best steak we have had anywhere. If you haven't tried it - go tomorrow, in fact go now!!
The staff are very friendly, always happy and a very plesant atmosphier. Can not recommmend this place highly enough
Always a joy to come here whilst on holiday in Cornwall. The Sunday lunches are the best around and the fish and chips (hake) was also very good. 110% recommend
Fantastic food, great service. Although quite a full Saturday evening, service was quick and the food excellent. Big plates of very tasty food. Highly recommended
Beautiful environment, quiet and comfortable. Lovely staff and went out of their way to ask the chef what market fish was served. Best pub meal we had so far this year. Compliments to the chef. Definitely recommend the onion rings!!Bonus.
Popped it last week while on holiday did not have a booking but the staff still got us a table lovely food at a decent price and very good portions and easily one of the best sticky toffee puddings I have ever had nice atmosphere and very friendly only drawback we found is that there is only a small car park for how busy it is took 3 attempts to get a space but well worth a visit
Excellent food. The gourmet burger was incredible.
Lovely little pub.
Well worth a visit.
Excellent service, and excellent food. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
Arrived on spec for late lunch.
Ham, egg, chips and salad was delicious along with a great cup of tea.
Gluten free well accomodated
Highly recommend.
Thank you
Overall a very nice meal, garden is lovely but the inside lacks a little finesse. Staff were helpful and mostly present but generally looked like they didn't want to be there had a slight feeling that serving us was a little inconvenient, all they needed was a smile.
The starters were lovely and the ice creams we had for desert were delicious. The fish dishes my friends had looked amazing, but what let my meal down was the Ribeye. For a steak lover, I'm writing so others may avoid. Firstly, it was thinly cut and really quite gristly, but worst of all it was very poorly cooked. I asked for rare and the fourth at my table ask for medium rare. Mine was barely medium with hers closer to well-done. The steak showed no signs of searing and looked like it had just been left in a lukewarm pan which was such a shame as the sauce, sides and accompaniments were quite delicious. It didn't ruin the meal but was quite a disappointment. To counter that, I would say that the spring rolls I had to start were superb and some of the best I've had.
Me and my partner visited 24/05/22 and I had the gourmet burger, and I am happy to say its the best I've ever had. The Mrs had sirloin and rightly said its the best she's ever had with special mention for the peppercorn sauce! You won't find cheaper proper food anywhere in cornwall and will be back before the end of our holiday. The owner and waitress were very polite plus the pub pooches are so friendly. If you've booked anywhere else cancel it NOW and get a table here. From a very stuffed Tony and Carrie
Very strange, little pub situated on A VERY busy road. At first glance, from the carpark it looks closed and being disabled I am always loathe to make the walk... unless I'm certain of gaining entry.
However, on this visit I did get inside and it's a very nice venue. They offer several Cornish beers and lagers and a couple of choices from beyond their borders. I chose a pint of Staropramen and it was cold and tasty...at £5.50 it was a little steep in value...my local neighbouring village in Hampshire, sells it at £4.79!!!
They have a dedicated restaurant area, a small collection of tables and chairs in the pub proper, and a huge inglenook fireplace to welcome you on those chillier days.
Unfortunately this pub is very dog friendly and I fail to understand why pubs with restaurants allow this? But on this visit the restaurant was empty and the dogs were free to roam.
Friendly staff and locals.
