Canteen At The Orchard

What an amazing place! On the one hand it's a humble cafe in the Orchard Community Gardens, but on the other hand it has a super-friendly atmosphere, and the most delectable, scrummy home grown and home cooked dishes. The coffee was simply delicious, and I had it with oat milk. I had spicy chicken with gorgeous accompaniments, and a warm-from-the-oven cinnamon bun cooked to perfection. I can't wait to bring my loved ones along when they visit at Christmas. 🥰

I love this new venue! Canteen were always doing great things at their original venue but this new one in the ever growing Newquay Orchard is one not to miss. Regular events provide ample opportunity to book in a visit, or just wander in for a coffee and browse the artwork from talented locals on the walls. Lovely light venue with great natural light from the ceiling 👍🏼 the amphitheater outside looks epic too, well done guys

Very cozy place to have a snack / breakfast. Really liked cinnamon bun, highly recommended! breakfast choice was very limited, only shakshuha (too many tomatoes and just a little bit of egg, quite spicy as well) whereas sandwich was good but also very simple. The last choice was granola, but they run out of yogurt. So, not coming here for breakfast, only pastries. Complicated parking (check their website for more details). Parking at the sports centre, Google maps suggest the wrong way to get here.

What a great place! The food was amazing. The clever use of herbs and seasonings meant that each mouthful was an explosion of tastes. Such a wonderful concept and really lovely and unassuming staff. The cinnamon buns were out of this world. Everyone I saw said "wow" after the first taste . It is quite tricky to find as signage is not good. Google maps saved it for us.

Such a wonderful afternoon walking around the Orchard and stopping for a drink and cake. The iced tea and cinnamon swirl was delicious again! Art work was a great addition our little baby liked looking at it! The waiting staff are always brill,toilets were spotless, very quiet as it was going to rain. But more people came and enjoyed! So pleased to be a local to enjoy this eco and sustainable community place of rest! Beautiful well kept gardens,Orchard and wild meadows with outstanding scenery. My husband has loved volunteering here. Thank you!!
