Greeted by a warm & friendly lady who escorted us to our table. A lovely waitress arrived within a couple of minutes, introduced herself and took our drinks order. Quick efficient service - with a smile.
Enjoyed a tasty carvery with nice fresh vegetables, all well presented.
Waitress made a point of checking that we were all happy with the meal and brought another round of drinks over for us.
Very relaxing atmosphere, never felt rushed.

Asked on request to sit somewhere quiet when we booked but she put us in the most crowded place of the pub when the pub was really empty and no reserve signs on tables, but she did move us when I asked but it felt awkward once we had sat, just reading comments and taking them on board would be good but apart from that really nice

It was the first time for us at a Toby Inn and it definitely won't be the last! We received a warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. Then our waitress, Rebecca, came to explain the menu and take our drinks orders. I enjoyed delicious roast turkey with all the trimmings. There was a large selection of vegetables to choose from and they were perfectly cooked too. The dessert didn't disappoint either. Warm chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream, which was lovely.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and parking was easy as there is a good sized car park.

went for something cheap and filling and to our suprise it was absolutely delicious! the ultimate roast yorkie wrap, would highly recommend for something so cheap, yet so tasty and filled us up!

We love coming to Toby Newton abbot. The staff are brilliant always friendly & the food is great but on this visit the only thing that wasn’t the same was the mashed & roasted potatoes 😢. I love your mash but didn’t enjoy it on this visit sorry. It won’t stop us from coming back because this is the one & only time anything was different. We love you guys

We booked this Toby carvery for a big family reunion with around 30 people! The staff were fantastic and so helpful especially with the older guests and even offered to take pictures for us at the end. Food was brilliant as you expect at every Toby Carvery - really big thank you to the whole team for making it such a wonderful event.

Nice to have pork crackling as not offered by some carveries.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The roast potatoes were not crispy enough.
The cauliflower was done in just a plain white sauce instead of a nice cheese sauce.
