Ordered a takeaway so can't comment on restaurants' atmosphere.but food was ready to pick up at time specified. Food was realy nice and well worth paying for

We had given up trying to get a good chinese and a friend recommended Royal China so we thought we would try. My chicken chow mein was lovely, noodles perfect, lots of bamboo shoots & water chesnuts, which i love. My partners chicken curry and egg fried rice was really good. The only reason was not 5 stars is because processed chicken was used in both dishes 🙄 5 stars for the delivery driver very polite and friendly
We had a great meal, the food was plentiful and lovely. If we come back to the area on a break again we will definitely be revisiting.
First time we have used Royal China and will definitely be using them again. Food excellent and vegetables all crisp and fresh. The delivery was on time and the driver was very polite.

We decided to treat ourselves to a Chinese, completely not realising that it was a Friday night, and Chinese New year and so it would be super busy.
We called our usual takeaway and couldn't get through for over half an hour, and when we did couldn't pay on card as we usually do (about the third time recently that they have said cash only, while I thought we were still preferred to avoid cash during the pandemic!).
So I remembered we had a royal china menu popped through our door a few weeks back, and we decided to try them instead, prices were similar so actually worked out a quid or so cheaper, but we paid £2.50 for delivery.
We were able to pay on the phone, and got told it will be an hour and a half.... A long wait, but expected based on the day, and they said an hour and a half... And that's exactly what it was...
Totally worth the wait and delivery charge, and they have now gained a new regular customer! Every item we ordered was perfect, and both me and my partner went back to the kitchen for more! Very impressive considering how busy they would have been too! Thanks royal china!
Just this moment had a delivery from here, to my lorry and found me with no problem, the only problem I found was...that I just could not eat it all, superb food and a good delivery driver who found me.
They also take card payments over the phone which helps me as I don't carry cash. Your in my phone book just incase I'm down your way again.
I recently moved to the area and spoke with the young fellas at the takeaway counter, explained that I enjoy a good chinese takeaway and noticed the hygiene rating was 5 and that was the first test passed, now what about the food? He recommended few things and was very friendly and the food was spot on, I now consider this to be my local Chinese. Well done Royal China..
Tried many others over the years but always come back to this take- away. I drive 7 miles to collect my order and i am never disappointed.

As the owner of one of the most popular restaurants in Newton Abbot on my night off I like to have a takeaway.
I can honestly say I had the best Chicken Curry I've had from a Chinese in a very longtime.
Great quantity very good quality meat and very tasty.

Had a lovely meal here. The staff were friendly and very helpful with choosing gluten free options. The restaurant was clean and cosy. Food was excellent. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Last night had a takeaway,only complaint was that there was a scant amount of chicken, chilli squid and the scallops( there were about six slivers of scallop)
I appreciate the issues with rising prices of everything etc, but this was disappointing.
Best Chinese food I've had! Always excellent food, and the service is great too.
The frilly prawn balls are superb, the service is well timed and they've never got my order wrong.

Best Chinese around! Never disappointed when we have a feast here! Restaurant is very homely and clean! Staff are attentive. Take away is excellent too, although you don't get free prawn crackers 😥
First time ordering from this place and will certainly not be the last, had a selection of meals from spare ribs to chicken curry and wow how big are the bags of prawn crackers,and the chicken balls are to die for.And best of all the food came early and absolutely piping hot never had to reheat a thing which i did from the Chudleigh Chinese which is just 5 mins away.
