Great spot for lunch in the area. Old fashioned food and service, in a good way!! I enjoyed my Mexican burger with jalapeno peppers and chilli and chips. Fresh and hot. Comfortable booth seating next to the window. Plenty of parking. Plenty of truckers coming in so must be good.
Very delicious food, large portions, super fast service and plenty of space to sit down inside and outside with a nice view. Lots of options to choose from, large breakfast, fish and chips, steaks, burger, pizzas, ice cream 😋 This place seem to be also popular for truck drivers with plenty of parking space. Visites it last year as well and will visitors again when nearby. Highly recommend!
This restaurant provides great home style meals, good service, affordable prices, and an eclectic group of diners (locals, truck drivers, tourists). Great people watching while you dine. Dining made simple. I had two dinners - pork chop with all fixings served hot and beef stew with mashed potatos/veggies (almost ad good as my mother's beef stew). Watch out for the ceramic cat with sword. Bon appetit!
Great little place with great food. Everything we ordered was freshly made, piping hot food. Very tasty as well
They have a lot of food options.. all the desserts over the counter were good too. But do try the icecreams.. yummy cornish ice creams they had.
Sat at table 8, which has a great view of Creag Dhubh or something big n green. Food was extremely fast. Had 2 burgers and a couple of drinks. The Caledonian Best was v. nice. Fascinating literature available int the lobby too - see photo. Meal was about £30 total. Solid recommendation, except on a day when there has been Highland Games going on in the next field; it is somewhat rowdy and the staff frazzled.
Excellent value. Had mushroom soup for starter. Very high quality and a bucket full of it. Had the steak and ale pie for second course. Extremely tasty and the gravy was magnificent. It is not plush dining but great food and lots of it. Highly recommended.
Couldn't find anywhere to eat in Aviemore on a Wednesday evening so continued our drive south, saw this truck stop diner on Google and headed over. The staff were friendly, as were the other patrons. We got 2 burgers and drinks, which were grilled quickly but not too quickly. Indoor seating is American diner style booths, and there are picnic benches outside with glorious views of the hills. Despite being a small-ish diner they have a surprisingly good number of food and drink choices. Not exactly fine dining, but better than any service station burger I've had in the past, would definitely recommend it if you're passing through.
Food was absolutely amazing!!!! Highly recommend, I had a steak and my partner had a burger both were delicious. steak was cooked perfectly and the chips were not greasy which is nice, I also normally hate onion rings but the ones here are lovely. Would definitely come back again
Excellent place for food, great menu lots of choice had the truckers breakfast didn't need any more food that day, the following day went in for dinner had a haggis and cheese pizza, every item was cooked to perfection and great quality, staff very friendly and helpful, will definitely stop here again
Delicious homemade style food! Sticky toffee cheesecake was the best dessert ever! Will definitely go back if I'm down this way again. Nice to see a great effort from the young boy serving us.
