The Bull & Claw is a hidden gem in Newtownards, great food and service. The rib eye is particularly tasty. The crab claws for starter are a must along with Mayday sauvignon blanc fyi fwiw

Nice place, friendly staff, veggie options on the menu. Food was a little slow arriving. One of our group thought the Scampi was a bit overcooked in some and undercooked in others. I had a miso cauliflower burger which was nice but I thought it might be roast cauliflower -which it wasn't. The fries were yummy.

Went for lunch. Had the delicious chowder. Hubby had good old fish n chips which he said were tasty. Attentive staff. Decent menu. Hard to chose what to eat, in a good way.

Superb Sunday Lunch thank you to Alex, manager and all the crew, excellent service so very relaxing and what great food.
The chef goes the extra mile. Excellent IPA and Malbec 🍷. Good choices for GF.

Good food and friendly staff. We called in on a Monday night and the place was busy enough, which I always take as a good sign. I had scampi with chips, the batter on the scampi was very light and crispy. The other meal was crab claws with prawns which I'm told was delicious.

You have to be out of your mind not to come here!!! Absolutely fantastic staff and service, food was incredible, even the starters, thank goodness we did not pre order dessert. Was too full. Pictures don't do it justice. 100% coming back here.

Went here for a family birthday lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and hot. Good choice (although some items on menu weren't available)with alternatives for one of the party who was gluten free. We were missing a few portions of chips but were discounted on the final bill. Definitely worth a visit.

Booking recommended. We were lucky they had a table. I had the kilkeel crab linguine and it was not shy on flavour. Taste sensation! The upper level seating was quite warm. You can see the kitchen, that for me is a plus, I tend to trust the food more there is nowhere to hide. Definitely recommend.

Went for a birthday dinner and although it's Christmas we were spoilt to an amazing dinner and desserts and cocktails of choice. Staff so friendly and service really good. Has been made a favourite will everyone who went and we will not be strangers!!!
