Golden Corral

The food I got tasted good. However, all was at best Luke warm except for mashed potatoes. When we were leaving I told our server. That she might want to tell them that the food wasn’t warm. She came back and said the manager showed her the temperature and to come back and tell me my food was indeed HOT! I really don’t appreciate being called a liar. I walked directly from the bar to my NEARBY seat. This is not our usual Golden Coral where we eat. We eat at Volvo Parkway. I have never had cold food there. I can understand why this one has only a 3+ rating; it is not the food, but the management. I don’t remember anything in my management classes that said to tell the customer that she lied, I was not trying to complain; I was trying to let them know that though the water was hot and steaming, the food wasn’t and maybe they would want to check THE FOOD. I had sweet potatoes, beans, dressing, and a cheese biscuit that were cold. BUT the lemon pie was the best!

The food wasn't fresh but that wasn't the real issue. If we are not allowed to get our own drinks it's absolutely garbage that we are ignored by the staff to even get our first drink and our refill. Our waitress went out of her way to ignore us but was fine serving everybody else around us. I had to ask for our drink to be filled and she acted like it wasn't her table then I discovered we were her table. I had to hunt down another person for our refill because she kept her head turned away from us as much as she could. She had no issue serving the people even behind us. Mind you I was very polite the whole time I never once behaved rude. 43 dollars for 2 adults and a child's meal is way to much for this kind of treatment. We are never coming back!

The server was friendly and helpful and the establishment was clean. Unfortunately, the food was poor quality the fried chicken was hard, the bacon was burnt and the seafood salad was bland. Went to grab some extra silverware from the counter and all of the containers were empty. Overall, it was a poor experience and I wish it could have been better. Better luck next time...

The mac n cheese was cold and the waiter had a scrunched up look on his face. We waited forever for our drinks and we had to ask for refills. You could hear some of the staff complaining at the soda station. I will not be going back due to this is the 2nd time I've received poor customer service from the server. If you don't like your job get a new one. An it wasn't just our server it was a few that you could tell that it wasn't such a good night. Again that's not my problem, because I still used good manners when speaking to the staff and I still left a tip. Hoping to help the server get into a better mood. My husband said the server didn't deserve a tip due to the poor service. You may want to train some of your staff in leaving their problems at the door and the look on their face and their body language speaks volumes. Paying $75.00 plus dollars for 4 adults to receive bad service is a little much.

This was pretty bad. I'm a Virginia native and loved eating here but it has completely gone down hill. The food wasn't TOO bad, but some of it tasted stale. Others clearly looked as if they had been left out and not cycled though. The service was so so. Waitress only spoke to us once. I had to go talk to someone at the counter to ask about refills since the waitress wouldn't come our way. The worst was the bathroom. That was the most filthiest I have ever seen in my life. BOTH stalls were filled with human waste and over flowed!! Sinks were gross and nasty. Before I left I mentioned it to the woman who is at the counter and all she said was " that is not my job, I apologize" . You have lost a faithful long time customer .

It's a Golden Corral, should speak for itself. The times I have been to this one the food looks like it had just been placed out and was always hot. Food taste great, service is decent. My only complaint is their prices. If the drinks were included it would be a great value for the price, but since they aren't, a family of four will probably spend close to 60 dollars, if not more. Edit: 12/21, I drive by this place every day, I believe this Golden Corral has closed permanently, because all of their signs have been taken down and the building is for lease.
