First of all that Texas oh my gracious somebody is smoking a brisket smell hits you in the parking lot! The servers were patient and friendly as they could be, all were in perpetual motion preparing our meal. I ordered the Meat Sweat Sampler for two. I loved it before I ate it! 2001 Manteo Street, Norfolk, Virginia. Oh taste and see…that the Brisket is good!

Made a trip cross the water on a rainy to come back to this bbq place. Early bird definitely gets the worm there, since they often sell out. And it is understandable why. They offer quality food that tastes yummy. Small place I would recommend to anyone interested in some bbq. This trip I tried their pumpkin spice corn pudding and I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I love corn pudding anyway, but the addition of the pumpkin was such a fall treat.

I was told this place has good BBQ and that the banana pudding was so good. We were in the area & already ate at another establishment so I thought I would stop by for the banana pudding to finish off my meal. My husband ordered some burnt ends for later on. Well when I was walking to the car I looked at my bowl of pudding, I stopped in my tracks because I couldn't believe the 2 spoonful of pudding I just got for $4.50😳. They give u a very very small square of pudding, it's ridiculous. My husband like the meat but I will NEVER order the dessert again. It does taste good but my aunt makes it just as good so I'll just wait for that. So I have to limit my stars because of portion size compared to price.

So my first visits here started out on a bad note. We went yesterday after seeing their post on Facebook for this amazing burrito, decided we would make the trip for it and we hadn't been to this location since it was Dog-N-Burger. Made the 30min drive with tolls and after a long wait, was told that they were sold out of chicken/ pork/ beans (over 2hrs before closing) so we didn't get anything at all because we were dead set on the burritos. Decided to make the trip back today, got there before they even opened and was the second in line, only to be told that they had no wraps to make the burritos.... Frustrated was an understatement. These again were my first experiences with this new establishment. So I walked out and contemplated, this was two days in a row of travel/ gas and tolls there and back and I was really irritated. But I went back in and I asked the awesome woman who was running the line what I could get to make them myself. She got two of "The Meat Sweats" (lol the name makes me cringe) together and $65 later (this was a punch in the gut for sure) we made the trip back home to make our own burritos. The quality of the food was great. Chicken, brisket, sausage (both jalapeño and regular), ribs, baked beans and their white cheddar mac are all smoked to perfection. I didn't realize just how much came with each meal and just one could've easily fed both of us because there's still so much left over, and this may justify the price. But the quality of the food along with the friendliness of the staff is really what has me rating 4 stars. I couldn't give 5 for obvious reasons. I do hope that somehow, they are able to produce more and keep things better stocked.

Great atmosphere, great food and selection. Smells and tastes amazing. Pricey but I would go back again. I had the fancy sammich with brisket and recommend it. Potatoe salad was good, cilantro slaw i would pass on unless they change the dressing. 23 and change for a sammich, 2 sides, and a drink. Great bbq

I have gone to many BBQ places and this one is by far one of the best. The cheese and jalapeño sausage was very good, not spicy but full of flavor. The brisket was very moist and had a great bark and flavor as well as the ribs. Perfect smoke ring on them. The BBQ beans were full of flavor and sweet, the Mac and cheese had nice creamy. I am not one for collard greens but they were great. Got to meet the manger Floyd and Pit-master Chucky. Got a tour of the cooking area and let me tell they truly love BBQ. To quote Floyd “It’s not about competitions for us it’s about feeding the people a good meal.” That they truly do I can’t wait to go back for some more food.
