Love Jesse's Place!!!! Sam keeps us ready and full every time we go. Jesse runs a great store. The food is homemade and you can see the cooks hard at work. The atmosphere is quiet. This is our breakfast spot in Norfolk. The decor is really neat and reminds me of an old diner. Can't say enough about how good they are. The menu is inclusive and I have been for lunch and breakfast. Food is always good and the prices are very good for the amount of food you get.

We have been here before with no issues, but this time was terrible. We ordered $60 worth of food that was all unseasoned. The seafood I ordered had the most horrible breading every which was also unseasoned. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and they just threw the meat on the grill and cooked it. He didn’t finish it and we ended up putting it in a to go box and giving it to our dogs. The only thing that I can say was great was the customer service. She was very nice and was moving around a lot to be the only one there.

I've been wanting to order from Jesse's for a while and finally decided to, only to be extremely disappointed. I ordered the country fried steak with scrambled eggs and home fries. The "steak" is some sort of reconstituted meat similar to a chicken nugget or what you would receive in a tv dinner. The home fries were just boiled cut up potatoes with old bay seasoning sprinkled on top, and my scrambled eggs were not cooked thoroughly, which I ended up not even eating because I'm pregnant and was a little wary about eating undercooked eggs through take out. I doused everything in ketchup to try to stomach it, but I didn't even finish my meal.

Ordered a sandwich today to be picked up. The staff seemed very nice but a little disappointed in the food. The fries I didnt even eat and the sandwich was pretty much slapped together on burnt toast. I just wish you could get food that was properly made and made with some pride. Why would you even send out a sandwich on burnt toast.
