Bite

This is the third time that I've tried bite. I would have to say hands-down one of the best meals that I have had in quite some time. The new chef has brought extraordinary flare and new life to this restaurant. My bartender was extremely knowledgeable than my waitress was very bubbly and vivacious. I will recommend this destination to anyone that I meet.

Don't go there for dinner if it is open for a special occasion such as on a theater night. We had been there before and simply loved it. The menu had some great offerings, and the staff were very friendly. efficient, and caring. This time, the menu really lacked any substance, and the staff were lifeless and, in 12 minutes, did not provide anything. I believe the restaurant was not properly staffed, but should not be an issue. Go somewhere else, if you want to be served and eat something nice. Again, I am only talking about dinner, which is not a standard offering. I do not know what breakfast and lunch are like.

I have honestly never written a negative review of any establishment, but this needs to be heard. The food was decent, but overpriced. Servers were great, but at the end of the night we had an unfortunate incident with the GM. The GM at this restaurant blatantly disrespected my friends and I in front of the entire restaurant. Caused a scene straight out of a middle school cafeteria lunch. Hate to talk bad about a local eatery, but I can't let this go unnoticed. Don't eat at this restaurant. Thank you.

Went for dinner on a Chrysler Hall event evening. Waited 15 minutes to order wine and dinner. Waited another 30 minutes to get a glass of wine and only got one when I asked our server about the delay. Forty five minutes after we ordered dinner, my husband's dinner came and he ate it while I waited for mine. After an additional 15 minutes and my dinner still wasn't delivered, we asked for our check and left. Other nearby diners were also looking for their dinners. Will not go back to a restaurant that can't serve wine and food in a reasonable time period.

We ran into this restaurant on our way to an event at the Spectrum (which is RIGHT across the street). They gladly and promptly accommodated us. The food was outstanding. In fact for a second or two, I thought I was back in a NY restaurant! I wish they'd open another place in Williamsburg. We are sorely missing good restaurants up here.

A recent trip here was a complete flop. The restaurant kept running out of their already limited wine selection and their "famous" she crab soup was available from the start. My Osso Bucco had a tough, gristly veal shank, and crunchy, undercooked rissoto. There were only two servers and one bartender. The service was slow. I cannot name one redeeming thing about this meal. A complete waste of money.
