I ordered online and my food was ready when I got there. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, and great food!! I ordered the Fish Yassa and Red Snapper. Both came with rice and vegetables but I added an order of plantain. So glad I did, it was the perfect fit! I loved the more savory onions that come on the side, but the spicer version was also a good addition with the fish. I've come here before but it was years ago. I'll be back! Also, these items are good for anyone with a gluten intolerance as I have.

So amazing, probably our number 2 of all restaurants in Hampton Roads. Everything we ate was delicious, came out fast and was hot and fresh. If you like African food or are maybe just thinking about trying it, do yourself a favor and hit this place up.

First time here and the food was fantastic!!! I had lamb mafe. My friends had curry and fufu/okra stew. Also fish fantaya and plantains . Hisbuscus Tea was amazing as well! This is the spot to go to for African food

I ordered the lamb mafe and the beef fataya. The lamb mafe was a stew with slight peanut flavor that was interesting in a good way and the beef fatay was like empanadas and had good flavor

The people who worked there were nice enough but this food did not sit well with me or my fiance. I ordered the spinach stew and there was so much oil in it I ended up sick. The lamb was good though. My fiance ordered the grilled lamb, which another patron told us it was so good it didn't taste like lamb. That was odd. The "lamb" was very thin and not tender at all. After comparing the taste to my lamb and giving it a good look over, we really think it was a pork chop although their sign says halal. We wanted to try something different and were very disappointed. The jollof rice was good though.

First time having Cassava leaf, it was very hot, fresh and flavorful. The jollof rice was good and cooked. The food was a little heavy on the oils but it wasn't to heavy on the stomach. The staff was cool and the tall lady with hijab thought I was handsome. Overall the meal was a 4.6 out 5.

Today was the first time me and my family tried African food. And omg this was such a great experience. The food was soooooo yummy and authentic. Their lamb shawarma wrap is soooooo delicious as well as the stews with fufu! Defiantly will be coming again one day soon.
