Can't get a better view and a great stop on the way to tantallan Castle. Love that we were able to scramble down to the water for a little play time on a beautiful day. Service at the cafe was friendly, though they had sold out of a number of options by the time we stopped by (around 2:45pm). Nevertheless, were able to make do with what they did have available. Food was great as well -- I'll esp remember the homemade wagon wheels with biscoff cream I think? Yummmm. Thanks, Drift!

We eventually managed to get a table inside, wanted some food - but at 2.55pm were told we couldn't have as kitchen closed at 3pm. Asked if they could just make a sandwich - no, sorry 😐 - not ok, it wasn't yet 3pm. Didn't bother asking what time last orders were accepted 😠

After this place being recommended by friends, as the best place to have a coffee & views of the sea in North Berwick, I definitely had to check it out! Just off the A198, situated in some shipment containers, you get hit by stunning views, in which I could spend hours just sitting there, watching the world go by. Whilst in North Berwick, visiting friends, I came here twice, the first time having coffee, cake & sausage roll, and then the 2nd time having takeaway drinks, the staff both time were lovely, & attentive. If living in the area, I would definitely would visit alot more.

Great place! Lovely atmosphere, the staff were polite and friendly. We had brunch which was lovely, and cake of course. The cakes were gorgeous, would definately recommend. The menu was great, seemed to have something for everybody and not badly priced. The views are stunning and plenty of car parking spaces. 5 stars for sure!

Great cute spot, eco friendly, sea view, tasty food and absolutely great homemade cakes! If you close to North Berwick then you should stop for a coffee or a meal, it’s worthy!

When making a reservation a £5 per person deposit is required. There are clear conditions attached to the deposit , so check when making your booking. You should also try to make the reservation for a table with an unrestricted sea view, as these are in the minority. The lady, who I presume was the owner, was excellent all round. The menu choice was not extensive, but had a good variety. The service was quick and the quality was very good. There is seating outside for when the weather allows and there are plenty of opportunities for a photograph or two.

Lovely place to grab a coffee and a quick bite. Prefer to sit outside to enjoy the mesmerizing view of the sea from the cliff. A photogenic place for sure. You can go down the hill from next to the cafe to enjoy the beach.

An amazing highlight of our UK trip. We stopped here for an early dinner after our walk from North Berwick to Tantallon Castle. I had found it previous to leaving on our trip because of the gluten free options and it did not disappoint. Amazing views and food. We were lucky for the beautiful weather and great people!

Unusual building! Great food and a stunning location to enjoy it in, whether you eat inside or out. All five in my party had the cooked breakfast which was first rate.

Delicious food, amazing view! Booking would be more than recommended as this is a popular place. If you're sitting in, dogs are NOT allowed but you can take away and sit outside at one of the tables. There are also little booths to protect you from the wind which give a cosy atmosphere. Bonus recommendations: try the mochas or hot chocolates 🍫 Sausage rolls are also really good. There is parking on site which is limited in time.

Fantastic breakfast with amazing views. The staff were super friendly and the owner even helped us manoeuvre our caravan in the car park. Food is priced on the higher end of what we’d normally like to pay but this is reflected in the excellent food quality, service and views! Thanks again would love to come back

Really busy so couldn't get a seat inside but it was a beautiful day and sat outside. Had coffee, sausage rolls and cakes from outside trailer. Sausage rolls were amazing, cakes excellent and coffee good. Would love to try inside but certainly no complaints. Beautiful spot. Well worth the walk out from North Berwick

Update(1 year later): It's 5 stars from me now. Well done on the te for offering hot food like pulled pork burger which was delicious. Not too salty with appropriate sides, their food was perfect. The cakes were also better than the last time I reviewed. I think they are improving and would like to see what they have next. Update (7 months later): Revisited after restrictions were eased. It is still an amazing cafe with stunning views. The staff were calm, efficient and the service has overall improved! 4 chocolate Guiness cakes for £10 was a great deal but have to leave it at 4 stars because the muffin-like cakes were drier and not as delectable than the previous tray bake recipe. A lovely cafe with some of the most amazing views. You can get fresh and delicious food with seating available inside and outside. We really liked it but gave 4 stars because the service was bit stressed and not too much space inside (the owner clarified that was to ensure every table gets nice sea views). I would recommend stopping by if you're driving and grab something to drink and eat.

Excellent place! Food was delicious and reasonably priced, views are spectacular over the Brass Rock and staff were so nice and made us feel so welcome. Would definetly be there every day if I lived close enough.

We’ve heard about Drift for months now. We wanted to visit for a while now. The first thing that I can say... It worth the drive! The Drift has a very special spot and offers breathtaking views. The 40-minute drive is definitely worth it. This little hidden gem is located next to the castle 🏰. You can enjoy light bites and breakfast/brunch until 3pm. They also offer a great selection of freshly made cakes. We enjoy a slice of the chocolate cake and the almond & cherry cake, both delicious. The coffee was great. You’ve got a few indoors tables - all with panoramic view - and a few tables outside if you want to sunbath but be prepared for the wind 💨 🥰. The cafe is one of the best spots to admire Bass Rock 🗿 I highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely come back.
