One of my favourite pubs in England. A great location - beautiful countryside with good walks surrounding it. The pub itself is lovely, great seating outdoors and a pretty garden. The food is yummy - in particular my favourites are the ploughman's, chips and fish finger sandwich. There is good parking, just be aware that it's narrow country roads to get there so take your time if driving. The New Inn was very aware of the COVID regulations during the pandemic, which I appreciated.

Great birthday meal and perfect still cider. Service was very quick and friendly. Food delicious and unusual - the ‘slaw is classic and the chips great. Lovely peaceful setting with the tables well separated. A lovely walk over from Woodmancote - probably a 2 pint limit because of the steep climb.

Took us quite a while to find this little spot, but it was well worth the visit! Very dog friendly, beautiful setting next to a vineyard, food was good and the owner was very friendly, we had a good, interesting chat with him! We enjoyed the lamb kebabs and the Turkey, Brie and Cranberry sandwich, and the lemon and blueberry dessert.
Looking for a rural retreat for refreshments? You’ve just found it, tucked away in the vale this place is a hidden gem. Had an amazing meal here this eve for our anniversary and we can heartily recommend the ribs and the wagyu burger. Both were spot on, perfectly cooked and came with chips and the ‘slaw which lived up to other reviews high praise. I can also recommend the rhubarb cider and if you fancy a tipple of spirits then you might like a wee snifter of the green tea vodka too.

Lovely beer garden, well spaced tables in the most beautiful setting. Easy to order food & drink on an App but make sure you don't take the default setting when ordering a pint, you'll get a half as my mate found out. The food was top notch, plentiful and fresh.

What lovely pub owners!! We popped in just to have a drink and ended up booking dinner the following evening. The food, service, location and beer garden was all spot on! Les the owner is a right laugh and after dinner sat with him and his lovely wife Emma for a couple of drinks! We hope to come back for a slice of the best selling Malteser Cheesecake!
A great couple of hours sat with friends in this pub. Well looked after by the very jovial landlord who was very quick witted and friendly.

Pub came recommended by our B&B hosts and very pleased they did. A real hidden gem. Friendly privately owned and run country pub well worth hunting out when in the area. Food very good and cooked by owner who is also the chef. We visited on an out of season week day evening, so mostly locals, but expect it can get busy with walkers and regulars at other times. Would expect it wise to call and book if able. It does take a bit of tracking down, being up a narrow lane with passing places, but that adds to the satisfaction of finding the place. Reasonable sized car park so any apprehension over parking as you approach up the final dead end lane can be discarded. Also don't confuse with another same named pub in a village a few miles away.
What a great place in the middle of no where. Landlord Les made the visit so memorable. Food fantastic and so filling well worth the time it took to order and pay for on their new app system.
Great pub with a fantastic atmosphere. Lovely food and drinks too. Thank you to Les and Emma for being so welcoming - you made our stay in the Cotswolds very memorable. We're still laughing now!
Visited on a Thursday lunchtime with more than twenty cyclists (there and back from Bristol). Many of us had pre-ordered our meals and Les and his staff made sure the food was delivered speedily to the tables, even for those who'd not already ordered. All the lunches seemed to be well received. Excellent choice of drinks, especially the range of mostly local ciders on offer. We will definitely be going back.
Stopped here for lunch after hiking around Dursley and Uley. Took a table in the sun-bathed beer garden and had some nice Camden lager/IPA. Two of us had fish and chips - some of the best we’ve had. Wagyu beef burgers were also superb, as was the homemade coleslaw that came with it. Can’t say a bad word about it!
Great location, friendly service and fine ales in this very special rural gem of a traditional local pub right on the Cotswold Way. Well worth seeking out. Good parking, lovely garden and large covered patio - handy for shade or shelter if it rains. Didn't try the food this time but it has been consistently good on previous visits. Highly recommended.

A gem of a hidden pub nestled at the base of a valley with views of a vineyard and buzzards hovering in the distance. This is well worth the effort of seeking out.
On first entering the chef-proprietor seemed a tad grumpy, but turned out to be a really lovely hard working bloke who is passionate about his food and beer.
The food was high quality (and reasonably priced) pub grub and everything is locally sourced.
On the evening we visited they had finished normal food service early as they had a local produced pork pie and gin event. The lack of a vegetarian option meant worries that one of our group was potentially going to go hungry, but these were unfounded fears as the portions were so generous (such lovely cheese!) this wasn't an issue. Consequently, however, I'd recommend that if you are planning on eating here - and you or your group have any special dietary requirements you should check their Facebook page. For large groups I'd also recommend phoning a little in advance and reserving a table.
A wonderful hidden gem, we have heard many stories since moving to the area of how great a venue it is. We have only been once but it was lovely, we arrived late one afternoon the kitchen had closed and the bar was about to, but seeing the children a few bowls of chips were conjured up and we were made to feel very welcome. I am looking forward to an evening session.
