First time visiting this little gem this morning. Had a delicious cooked breakfast and tea. Lovely wee place and really lovely staff. Will come again. Only thing I would say is that it might be worth investing in bone china tea cups to help keep the tea hot. It cooled very quick but that's a very minor thing and nothing that would stop me returning. Fabulous wee place! food was yummy. We cleared the plates. x
Food is excellent, quality ingredients and such a great variety of things on the menu. Only little though so best to reserve a table ... much more than a cafe
Popped in for a bite to eat before visiting Deep Sea World. The food, the staff and the service was excellent. Well worth a visit.
Great food and such warm welcoming staff. The prices are incredibly reasonable - must be best value for money in Fife!
Sensational menu and the best atmosphere. Warm welcoming staff.
Great coffee. All this in a lovely historic village with views of the three bridges. Highly recommended!
Just had breakfast ham & eggs on toast and also a full breakfast for my husband. Food great decaf Americano lovely and lots of toast yum yum ☕️
Great choice of food Friendly welcome We had to wait some time which was a bit of a problem because my daughter had an appointment but the food was delicious
Lovely place, very friendly and welcoming. Food and coffee very nice. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again
Best breakfast this side of the Forth. Need to come back for lunch some time.
My mum and I came into the cafe today with my little boy and had a lovely lunch. The soup was delicious and our sandwiches/bagels were perfect. The best part of the visit was the gorgeous little platter you made for my boy. Even though he didn't eat it all he was happy trying everything and it made a hassle free lunch for Mum and Granny. We will definitely be back.

Visited this wee gem today. Absolutely delicious, lovely fresh baked quality food, really tasty and the prices are unbelievable. My wee girl also loved her children's platter which is a great idea. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending it to family and friends!
Lovely friendly Cafe with freshly prepared food and great prices.....try the breakfast... Yum
Best place i visited in scotland
Its cozy with lovely staff not talking about the delicious cakes and coffes. Defenetly worth a visit!🥰 I had turmeric latte, healthy and tasty😋
Had morning coffee today with the Hebridean stack. Absolutely fabulous. In fact, so good I had to have another. Gluttony or what but delicious food. Served by a friendly waitress. Also greeted by Sue like a regular customer despite only visiting the cafe 3 times a year.
Brilliant place next to the Forth Bridge.
Looking forward to going again on my next trip to Edinburgh.
A real treat. Thanks Sue and staff.(sorry girls, I forgot your names)
Reviewing this cafe seems a little unfair, as it's the only place to eat in North Queensferry, so good or bad, people will go there.
Thankfully, it's pretty decent. The food selection is small, but varied enough and tasty (particularly the haggis), although not the best I've had from a cafe around Edinburgh. It looked like they had a very good tea selection (although I didn't try this).
Unsurprisingly, it's busy, with people waiting for tables (not for too long, though I think) and a few items sold out on the day we were there, so best to get there earlyish if you want lunch.

We only found two eateries in North Queensferry. One was way out our price range and Rankins was the cheaper option.
The decor of the cafe is incredible with a lot of it recycled material intertwined with the new and they have pulled it off beautifully. The fragmented mirror on the wall, alongside the stained wooden wall with the lamp over the fireplace. It all just works beautifully.
My friend had the cous cous and falafel wrap and he said it was absolutely beautiful. He really like the additional mug of soup for £2.50. I started with the Hebridean stack which was OK, I would have preferred a little more beetroot chutney and perhaps a wee bit of salmon to top it off. It just seemed a little lonely on plate. I opted for scrambled egg and salmon to follow on from the stack. The salmon portion was huge and tasty but the scrambled egg was a huge let down.
The coffee is made with care and tastes absolutely delicious. The shortbread that accompanies the hot drinks is absolutely amazing as well. I couldn't believe it wasn't homemade. We finished off with a cinnamon bun and wow. What a cake! I don't know if they are baked in store or bought in. I highly reccomend both for size and flavour.
Staff were extremely busy as the cafe was full the whole time we were in and even though there was only two of us they happily sat us down at a table for 6.
Don't miss put Rankines when you are in North Queensferry! You won't be disappointed (in the coffee)!
I love eating in this cozy wee cafe which used to be the old post office several years ago. Lovely friendly staff. This visit I had a chicken salad gluten free sandwich with side salad and Kettle crisps. Soup in a mug is an extra £2. Today's was lentil, carrot and coconut. Vegan and gluten free. Last time delicious GF thinly sliced toasted bread with lemon cream cheese and smoked salmon. Yum. My husband enjoyed a fruity couscous and sweet potato wrap. Delicious too.
Food was really good, pretty much the fare you would expect from a well run cafe but with really good quality ingrediants.
Service was great, very freindly and helpful.
Atmosphere is a busy cafe, decor is inside is a modern rustic feel, nothing pretenious. Feels like it's been there a long time, it's well settled.
Situated in the idyllic village of North Queensferry in Fife, a stone's throw away from the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, Rankin's café and deli is the perfect place for a bite to eat.
A pleasant atmosphere, with ambient music which isn't too loud to intrude on conversation, staff who are knowledgeable about their products, photos and artwork by local artists on the walls.
The food was delicious. The vegetarian breakfast and the traditional grilled breakfast are pictured, with a turmeric latte and regular latte. Their selection of specialty teas are worth trying too.
This bijou restaurant is highly recommended.
Lovely place, with good food and and excellent staff. I had a lovely scone and cream and a drink before heading off for a walk around Carlingnose point.
Lovely place to eat with good food and friendly staff.
Great little lunch spot to recharge the batteries after a morning at deep sea world and only a 5 min walk away. Not a huge place but the staff very friendly and service great. Food was great and the kids hoovered up their kids platter. Highly recommended.
