Just been here today for the first time and it was amazing and great value for money so much choice to choose from and very filling can't believe I've bypassed this shop for so long staff very friendly and pleasant I like how it's cooked to order meaning everything is hit and fresh will be returning tomorrow for a chilli dog �

Perfect treat for a Friday lunch and with a fabulous salted caramel latte to wash down the jammin chicken baguette. Not the first time I've had that combo and definitely won't be the last!!
I came across this place about a year ago whilst driving round North Shields looking for somewhere new to have breakfast. Having tried most of the food outlets that serve breakfast i found the Wooden Deli to be the best by far and i now go there everytime i am on leave. The food is well presented and their is plenty of it and you can not ask for better host's (Cristina and Scott) A very charming couple who always make you feel welcome. Being in the restaurant business myself and knowing about the hards times and the difficulties you face running a food outlet i take my hat of to them as they seem to be coping well and going in the right direction. Wish you all the best guys keep up the good work

The staff were a pleasure to meet and gave great service by explaining what they had/didn't have on offer.

Fantastic range of freshly prepared food snacks, hot or cold plus a selection of drinks. Your choice. Very friendly service and informative and helpful/knowledgeable staff. Love this place. Been going here on and off for nearly 15 years. Great to sit in or simply takeaway. Either way prices very reasonable considering the quality of food and drinks in offer.

Went for a working lunch today, had a jacket potato with cheese savoury and salad, and a cup of herbal tea. It was blooming lovely. Prices are terrific. I saw another order being prepared, a chilli dog... ooh my word it looked amazing. I have to try that at some point. Really friendly staff too. You have to try this place.
The food was amazing and soooo tasty. Very attractive place to visit and the decor has a style of the "South seas" Carribean/California Surf style Really nice. Staff so happy and friendly and felt instantly at home. Deffo a regular place for me from now on!
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Wooden Deli this morning, lovely food the coffee was hot and strong the way I like it and the staff and customers were friendly. They made me feel very welcome and I would highly recommend this deli and will definitely visit it again

First visit here. 2 x bacon baps to take out. £5.20 (23/9/22) so good prices. Nice sandwich. Loads of different baguettes and burgers etc on menu board. I'll have to try one. :-)
I am eating for two and got a motherclucker burger made by Tom... it was clucking excellent, by the far the nicest burger I’ve ever ate.

Staff were very friendly.
Decided to go for the hot dog as it was recommended. The bread roll was great as were onions, however I was disappointed to find a cheap boiled frankfurter, rather than a decent sausage such as bratwurst, which I would be willing to pay more for.
My colleague had the psycho burger was very much enjoyed it.
Sat in with my husband and had a fantastic breakfast. We usually just grab a sandwich on the run. The food is excellent and the staff are great. Make a point of going and supporting this cafe. xxx

I mean come on... does it get any better than this.. I was so zoned out by the smell of the food I actually tripped over the step on the way in.. then after been non verbal for what felt like 20 minutes as I starred at the menu in amazement I finally made my choice. The judge burger it is. Go big or go home. But then I realised I was at work and it was only 10am.. so the chicken licken hot baguette won the battle in my mind.. it was tremendous I may say. Whats not to like.. chicken, gooood. Mozzarella, goood. BBQ saaas, gooood. Jalapeños, wowzas... And this dream continued as my work colleague Little Tracey was sitting opposite me with The Bombay hot baguette. I could tell she was struggling to finish this beast of a sarnie. She took one last bite followed by a puff of the cheeks, she looked at me a said... im stuffed, would you like the other half of this... You bet my love, as I snatched it out of her hands before she changed her mind. And let me tell you.. That one was just as delightful as mine.
