My wife and I have just returned from another delightful stay at The Beechwood. We have stayed several times before and we are never disappointed. The rooms are lovely, the locally sourced food is beautifully prepared and the staff are all very friendly and most professional. We love it there and will be returning again soon!
A wonderful hotel with very welcoming owners and terrific staff. The food is outstanding. They
even have their own wine which they make in South Africa and that is delicious too. Well worth a stay.
We came here for my birthday in January. We had the garden room with use of sauna and hot tub. Although the weather was freezing the use of these facilities out of season kept us warm. The restaurant was excellent and food was delicious. I was really not expecting my own personal birthday cake which was a lovely personal touch. Our room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Staff were amazing and helpful. Great visit in the middle of winter.
Wow.
From pulling into the car park to checking out and everything in between this was a great experience.
The staff are absolutely brilliant, not just some but all of them including the trainees and young part timers.
Great hotel so full of history and charm.
The 7 course tasting menu with the paired wines was a great experience as was everything about our stay here.
We stayed here for one night on a travelzoo deal. Absolutely loved it from the first class food the attentive staff and the lovely room couldn't fault it. We even had a little cake with a sparkler brought out to us after dinner as it was our Anniversary. Loved every minute.
My husband and I cannot fault our stay, we found this hotel to be excellent and good value. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We cannot fault the quality of the food it was so tasty and the staff were very attentive. We stayed there as we wanted a hotel near the coast.
Well. What a gem.
Stayed one night for the tasting menu plus wine flight. The food was first class.
The hotel, with its Agatha Christie connection, is so full of art deco style, is an absolute joy.
The staff are so lovely.
Will I re visit ... Oh yes.
Have eaten there on a few occasions. The food has been superb and service excellent. Very good value for money . We have not stayed so we cannot comment on that aspect.
A great hotel for a weekend treat. We had a lovely, friendly welcome with delicious freshly made scones & tea. A quiet location with pretty rooms, ours had a roll top bath & separate shower & toilet. Absolutely stunning food & faultless dining experience. I can't recommend this hotel & restaurant highly enough. What a treat! Thank you.
The hotel is beautiful in an art deco style to accompany the references to Agatha Christie who spent many happy days there writing some of her books (before it was a hotel - she was friends of the owner.
We celebrated my mum's 70th birthday here, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Will definitely visit again!
Had a wonderful stay at the Beechwood hotel, warm welcome on arrival by Hugh & Emma
Clean and well appointed bedroom and bathroom
Fabulous breakfast with a great choice of hot cooked dishes and continental selection
We enjoyed a wonderful 7 course tasting menu with wine flight, two of the parings from the owners South African vineyard
The staff are well trained and provided a great service and extremely helpful
Would recommend and will ve returning
5 stars. This is North Walsham, not the Cotswolds. The attention to service was very good. More Downton Abbey than Fawlty Towers. An art deco theme. Quality restaurant and the Xmas inclusive menu was good value.
We were very lucky to be offered the last room available at this gorgeous hotel when we made a last minute decision to take a trip to Norfolk and are we glad we did! Absolutely delightful stay and complements to the Chef, the food was simply amazing. Sitting in the garden was beautiful and relaxing and both the staff and Manager went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay with our little dog. We look forward o returning. Thank you
Spectacular dining experience, very good value for money (not cheap).
The staff are very good and go out of their way to help. They catered unquestionably for very specific allergies without any fuss or distraction to the experience of the meal.
They've got a robust model for dining whereby you are greeted on arrival and seated in the bar for drinks while you choose from the well considering rotating menu, orders are taken and after canapés you are then shown through to the exquisite dining room for dinner and shown a simple but very well constructed wine list from the owner's own vineyards.
Come here for a family birthday celebration, didn't stay here but the food was amazing,
Scallops to start, beef for main and rhubarb for desert
Delightful
The only hotel that we have been in that really welcome you in the car park and offer to take your luggage. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing. Such a relaxing experience I would definitely recommend it.
The Beechwood Hotel is an all round excellent hotel. The food is wonderful. The customer service from friendly and helpful staff is brilliant. We were greeted at our car, our bags were taken to our room, and we had complimentary turn down service. The room was super.... clean, warm everything exactly as you would wish.
We will definitely stay again and we will recommend to friends. The owners Hugh and Emma couldn't be more welcoming or friendly. This hotel and the experience they provide is something really special.
Lovely hotel with great service. Stayed for a fun murder mystery night from Dreamstone productions and enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended.
