Lovely quiet country inn, beautifully decorated and nice setting. Great price and for something independent and different. Breakfast was good and catered for dietary needs. Would definitely stay again.
Charming little hotel, set in a peaceful rural location near North Walsham, with extensive grounds. We used it as a base to explore North East Norfolk. The room was clean, tidy and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, although there were a lot of cushions! The staff at breakfast were friendly and able to address dietary requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to relax for a couple of days. Thanks.
A lovely establishment which was only staffed at breakfast and for room service at this time of the year but it worked really well and was so relaxed and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A. Jones
The staff were wonderful and the room was so comfy. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast had something for everyone.
Will definitely go again.
Thank you very much for the lovely stay! The hotel is clean and cozy, ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Breakfast is very nice and service friendly. A special mention to Alison for making our stay so memorable and thank to all the staff of the Scarborough Hill Country Inn for making us feel at home!
In beautiful surroundings this hotel is fantastic. We stayed in The Stables and I can honestly say everything was perfect. We only stayed one night, would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely be back.
Stayed here on a Saturday night whilst scouting possible new places to live.
Good location, nice room, lovely grounds but a really strange set up. Hotel is not manned due to a lack of staff (their words not mine) so you pick your keys up from the reception desk and let yourself in. Hotel appears to be unlocked all the time which surely is a security issue.
Hotel doesn't currently open its bar or restaurant due to the aforementioned staffing issues which is a shame as the bar is quite nice, breakfast being served there in the morning.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, both hot & cold although my wife wasn't keen on the large "pigs in blankets". Field mushrooms were fabulous.
Overall a decent stay was had but this place has the potential to be much better.
Would benefit from better soundproofing between rooms, less light pollution from curtains and better water flow in the sink.
Lovely setting, great rooms
Only issue was a poor shower
Lovely old place haven't stayed there but nice place to visit
We have just stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family funeral. The rooms are beautiful and all furniture fittings etc are of the highest standard. We had a problem with the bath and a quick phone call to emergency number we were relocated to another room straight away. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area. The breakfast had lots of choice and was to a high standard, all staff we spoke to were lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The funeral we attended also had its wake at the hotel, food was lovely and plentiful and a lovely environment. Special thanks to Wendy for all her help x
Wonderful hotel in a very quiet part of North Norfolk. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious in the main hotel but if you were to book a room in the stables/cottage these would be perfect for a family of four with young children as you have the facilities that you have at home.
Stayed here for 3 nights in the Nelson suite and had breakfast each morning. The room had plenty of space and was restocked with soaps, towels and tea each day by the time we returned in the evening. Breakfast was a buffet each morning which included breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals and most parts of a full english. Some parts of the hotel hallways are quite low so you may need to mind your head.
Super Dog Friendly / Child Friendly
This hidden gem is just perfect for a relaxing break in the UK.
The accommodation is spotlessly clean and even in these strange times when it is SO hard for the hospitality industry to find enough staff we felt wonderfully welcome and looked after. Our family had a room in the Inn itself and one of the cottages, the furnishings for humans and dogs ( inc dog beds, bowls and treats! ) are wonderful across the board. The Stables cottage had a fully kitted out kitchen, nothing had been overlooked.
Breakfast is very very very good. I cannot rate this beautiful property highly enough.
Do not book if you do not like dogs!
Attended a wedding there on 4/09/21. Place was perfect, food brilliant and the staff went above and beyond to make the day special for the bride and groom. The room was clean and well presented, very quiet and we had a good night's sleep. The cooked breakfast was very nice.
The staff here make it an excellent stay. I am not a seasoned hotel visitor and l like routine. Having traveled for 6 hours and a bit anxious at staying in a unfamiliar environment, these guys, without any effort, make you feel welcome and at ease immediately. While the accommodation is a little dated, you cannot fault the staff. Set breakfast menu is great, but want something off menu, they are more than happy to oblige with. Looking forward to seeing you again
Lovely location. Room was fantastic and bed really comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended this as a place to stay.
It was great. I'd deffinitely come again...
We had a nice two night stay at the Scarborough Hill Country Inn. The room was clean and nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable. Set in beautiful surroundings down a country road. Lovely trees, plants and shrubs in the grounds, also a meadow field which is located at the top car park. There was a marquee which can be used for private events. Good choice of breakfast on the menu. North Walsham is approximately a 10 minute drive away. Would recommend.
