Great little farm shop and cafe just down the road from North Weald village.
The cafe restaurant is nestled at the back of the farm shop overlooking gardens, with indoor seating upstairs and downstairs in the glazed barn or outside in the garden when the weather permits. Ashlyns offer a wide selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch; we enjoyed items recommended by the helpful team from the specials board including the delicious Jerk chicken kebabs.
The team are welcoming and friendly and most of the items available in the cafe also there for purchase in the farm shop / butcher to take home along with a variety of local, and not so local, produce.
There is plenty of parking on site as in addition to the farm shop and cafe there is a well stocked garden centre, wine emporium, soft play centre and farm with alpaca, llama goats and other animals.
Went for Burger night on a Friday with family. Great service and fantastic food. Good atmosphere in restaurant and really enjoyed meal. Family go regularly to this restaurant for breakfast etc and always have a good service/food. Really glad to have such excellent local restaurant.
Fantastic place for all ages. Lots to do indoors and out for the kids. Play area's, indoor soft play, small water park, good selection of animals to walk around. Has a farm shop where you can buy food and drink and is all natural products!! Has restaurant on site at a reasonable price, could be worth booking a table at busy times. Great day out!!!
Went for breakfast at the farm, prior to doing our shop. The social distancing measures in place were followed, but more importantly the breakfast was delicious. After the breakfast we bought, lamb, burgers , liver and sausages from the butcher, and the quality was superb .
The farm shop has been open throughout this pandemic, but it was great to see the restaurant, wine shop and farm open again. Keep up the great standards and service. Thanks
Come here for some good quality grass fed meat , the chuck steak was absolutely delicious along with the burgers and mince . The butcher and staff are very friendly.
Love coming here, there is a small soft play area, 2 playgrounds and you can get animal feed so you can walk around the farm and feed the farm animals, kids absolutely love it. There is also a farm shop who sells good quality products with a good variety of range, the staff is always super kind and friendly. I’m not lying if I say I came at least a few times a month :-D would highly recommend.

Great store and friendly staff. But the reason I am on here is to say…I am currently sitting in their parking lot and had to leave this review, before leaving their premises…Their vegan sausage roll is by far the best I have ever tried! So moist and delicious. Wow, wow, wow!
We visited today and spent the morning in the play barn and around the farm. We had a really lovely time (children 7&4.) the play barn/soft play was really clean. There were different animals to see and they had a lovely time on the play equipment and bouncy pillows. Lots to keep children entertained. My only negative would be the price of the ice creams £2.50 for one scoop seemed a bit steep. The other food was good value.

Lovely farm with plenty of animals you can feed. Goats, peafowls, meerkats, reptiles and tortoises, alapakas and even wallabies. They even have a fishing lake.
Very good organic farm shop and restaurant.

Really good place for kids and families, lots different kind of animals, few play areas , restaurant Caffe , picnic zones and shop with different organic food, butcher and vegetables, 100% recommend!
