Rosey Lea The Squadron - North Weald - Photo album

Where else can you get great food, atmosphere, aeroplanes including a spitfire at close hand. Marvelous venue.
Getting there means having to travel around the taxiway watching out for aircraft travelling around. Be prepared. Essentially, continue past Wings Cafe on your left and go all the way around until travelling in the other direction. Rosey Lea is very clean, tables are well spaced and the outdoor are
Nice little cafe located within North Weald. This is one of three. You have to drive into the entrance of the airport and then it's 2 miles around. Easy parking. Access for everyone. Dogs welcome on a lead. Food it's good quality a little bit more expensive but good. Hot and cold drinks available. B
Loved this venue. Friendly, good food and generous portions. The service is friendly and sits in a great setting.
Please don't tell anyone how marvellous this place is. Just rock up and have a scrumptious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. No faff, no pretentiousness, just super food and lovely service. Keep it a secret, we can't let just anyone know, it's so very very good shhh!!
Great visit & excellent brunch. The Squadron ticks all the boxes for a (flying!) visit. Whether you arrive by car/bike or plane you'll find an excellent choice of food and drinks provided by friendly staff. A lot of care has been taken to keep a historic feel to the buildings which are very well ap
Situated airside on North Weald airfield, this is a great, if slightly expensive, treat. A pot of Tea and a sandwich (served with a salad) will set you back about £12-£13, but sitting outside a stone's throw from a parked Dakota and with a Spitfire taxying past you as you eat, well; priceless!
Gorgeous food, outstanding. The premises are all the way round the airfield and looks like a shelter. Crockery is very pretty, as is the food presentation I have had a salad which was plentiful and filling, salt beef sandwich, the coleslaw is very creamy and delicious. I have visited 3 times now a
A nice experience here slightly let down by the wasps that wanted to invade our lunch. Obviously this is out of the owner's control so I'm not going to penalize based on mother nature. We came on a glorious sunny day so this is to be expected. It's pretty cool having an afternoon lunch and seeing so
To find the cafe you have to enter the airfield by the control tower. There is a barrier. We drove past it a couple of times looking for it. The man gave us a map of the airfield and we loved being able to see all the aircrafts. There is x3 cafes to choose from once on the airfield. Wings cafe with
DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS VIA WEALD HALL LANE. Entry is only via the airfield by the control tower. Great views of planes taking off and landing especially at weekends. We were treated to a Spitfire! Food, service and atmosphere great.
You can't lose with this place. Pretty tea sets for the girls, light and classic planes for the guys. Plus good nosh and cake for all. Note: you have to drive onto the airfield to get to the cafe. Google maps sent us off in completely the wrong direction. Gate security were kind enough to give us a
Lovely atmosphere, was busy and had to wait for a table but the food was worth it! I had a sausage, cheese and caramelised onion toastie, followed by a piece of Biscoff cake and an iced coffee. Staff were really friendly and accommodating.
Love this place, great service and great food whilst watching the planes and helicopters take off. It's great for kids who can stand outside feet from taxing planes but safely fenced off. Tables outside and inside. Takes a bit of finding on the airfield as you have to drive right the way round the i
Very nice café with an awesome view with lots for my channel, Airshows.by.johno
Great tea room and salad restaurant on North weald airfield. Had a good bacon sandwich with egg on granary bread and English breakfast tea in bone china. The salads looked great
