Lakeside

Had Sunday lunch here with 4 friends. When we arrived, we didn't know 4 members of staff had called in "sick" They are all so professional. I went to the bar to order my drink, a large chardonnay. I was asked if white was ok? Errr it is white was my reply, the young man explained, it was only his 4th shift, and didn't know much about wine. When our starters came out one of our party knocked her full drink all over the table, dispite being short staffed, the girls soon ceaned it up and the manager replaced her drink FOC. We chatted to the manager after our meal, and she told us the barman was called TJ and it was his day off, but he had come in for breakfast! What a great guy, He will be a true asset to a great team. Thank you all for a memorable time.

Good location with plenty parking spaces. Soft play is small, enough for young kids to pass a few hours though. Also a small playground outside if kids/ parents like some fresh air. Lots of outdoor table and bench. Limited eating and seating area inside. Friendly staff. The cost of food is reasonable. Quality can be hit and miss. Cleanliness needs attention. Especially during school holiday. Floor and toilets were awful last time we visited. ( Summer holiday )
