Lovely pub in a beautiful old village. Good standard decor and nice garden.
Great space with heaps of tables outside and cosy inside. Lots of good options available on tap. If the suns shining make sure you get a good spot in the garden and listen to the birds 🕊️
Charming pub with excellent food. What a gem of a pub is the Royal Oak. They have a good one way system in place to keep you safe and a book to record visitors for track and trace. The bar area is well laid out with a good selection of beers and sprits and looks like it have been recently been refur
Just popped in for a quick pint on the way back from exploring the delights of Castle Ashby. Fabulous pint of Tring beer, and was pleasantly surprised that the choice of ales included 2 under 4%; which is rare and great for the pop in pint crowd, or sessioners 👌🏼 We didn't eat but had a look at the
Great village pub. The food was really nice and decent portion. There were so much meat in the lamb dish, the lamb was slow cooked so very tender and juicy. Children enjoyed their food, too. They have a good selection of the beers and a lot of tables in the outdoor area with heaters.
Visited The Royal Oak for a quick lunch. I had the "Stuff in the Oven" which was like a hotpot. Tender meat, delicious red wine gravy and vegetables (option) but you can have bread instead. Pleasant pub, will visit again!
Off the beaten track. Well worth a visit. Good food and beer. Go steady into and out of the car park, pot hole and uneven kerb.
We had such a lovely meal at The Royal Oak, the food was fantastic, would highly recommend it, and we will definitely be returning.
Good food , friendly staff. A good place for a meal out or a drink with friends.
Very limited vegan food, I believe two options on the menu. The main food was fine, very nice.
Nothing bad to say, great service, friendly staff and a good atmosphere, nice and clean, dog friendly, Great outside seating.
Nice pub and friendly staff. Menu mainly battered food or pie, would be good to have a lighter or healthier option.
It was a really good meal best fish and chip's I've had in decades! The fish was succulent and the batter was crunchy and there was no sign of oil!Was shocked at the £78 bill but things have gone up since last time i was out so was just shocked 😲 but to be honest because of how much i enjoyed the f

Great village pub with lovely food and friendly helpful staff.
Great place for an evening meal and to catch up with friends. And perhaps more importantly to support our local hostelry.
We had a delicious lunch today in the lovely outdoor garden. It's a lovely pub, very traditional with lots of flowers in baskets and planters. The outdoor space is spacious and well thought out. The food was excellent, chicken pie with lovely seasonal vegetables with butter. Service was really good
Had a very delicious chicken salad thing for lunch. This is a very pretty place to have lunch or to have a drink at
Wanted to have a pub roast but unfortunately due to mum being very poorly we were unable to go out and enjoy the luxury of being waited on. So I had a brainwave. Most weekends through the early part of last year we had a takeaway roast from here and it was outstanding. So, I popped in here on the w
