Delicious dinner. Staying at a nearby hotel and just found the closest pub I could for tea. Glad I found this one. Kids had chicken tenders and mac'n'cheese, hubs and I had sausage and mash and pie. Followed by a kids brownies, a kids icecream and 2 cheese cakes. We don't dine out often, it was £70
Stopped by while driving from Leeds to London. We enjoyed the welcoming interior and appreciated the friendly staff. The patio looked like it would have been really nice as well in slightly warmer weather. Lunch was nice (we shared a steak and ale pie) and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Th
Nice pub on the way from the north to London. We stopped here because it has a rapid charging station for our electric car. The charger worked well. It brought our car from half charged to full in just about an hour or so. We didn’t expect much from the pub itself, but we were pleasantly surprised
Staff were really friendly and fun. The Halloween cocktail was so good. They had fun games to win free drinks, the DJ was good and interacted well with the customers. We ordered food, service was good and the food was very tasty. Great atmosphere and inclusive for all ages.
Been here twice and loved it each time! Recently went for lunch with my parents and our server Glenn was polite, attentive and made our time a really pleasant one. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that they had multiple veggie/vegan options for me to choose from. Recommend this place to everyone!
We came for a meal this evening, we were served by Dan, who was engaging, very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. And made our meal and evening out a very pleasant experience. He is a credit to your restaurant. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely come back again.
My wife son and myself went for dinner we did plan to go to the harvester but got turned away due to staff shortages. All I can say it was a blessing in disguise. All of our meals were cooked to perfection and the lady we got served by was absolutely amazing. Definitely going to be going back again.
Food was hot and well cooked. Decent portions, good value for money. Our server was Dan who was attentive and nothing was to much trouble so a big thank you to Dan for helping to make our evening enjoyable. Well recommended.
My friends and I ate at the Wig and Walnut on a Tuesday evening. The pub has a nice atmosphere and is family and dog friendly. The food arrived in good time and was delicious! Good portion size, freshly cooked, hot and good quality. The staff were amazing! They were working so hard but still had a s
We came for my mother's birthday and had a great family meal. The service was excellent and we were well looked after by all the staff that served us.
