The Boat Yard

Pleasant, welcoming greeting from staff before being shown to our table. Drinks while we looked through the menu - not a huge selection but ample choices for most diners. Everything seems to be cooked fresh (our table was near enough the kitchen to see and hear what was happening) but without any long delay. We both enjoyed our meals with attentive but not intrusive service. I'm sorry that this place is in the process of changing hands - the chef clearly works hard to produce good food. But success brings more customers, with more work and stress. Best of luck to the present owners going forward and I hope new owners continue the quality service.

Excellent Sunday roast. The food was very good and well presented, the beef especially was superb. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The bistro itself has a very welcoming and cosy feel to it, once we finished eating we moved outside and sat by the canal to finish our drinks. The outside seating is fun to being made up of car bobbins of different sizes. Overall it was a very pleasant experience

What a place, had Sunday lunch for nine of us, what a delight, meat was delicious veg just perfect and topped with a gigantic Yorkshire pudding, exceptional value for money all served by very pleasant staff, will certainly be visiting again, perhaps T Bone steak next time!!! Thanks to the chef for a lovely meal from us all

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Love this place, the owners are so friendly always make sure you are okay etc, they work very hard to ensure everything is great! the staff are lovely, polite & efficient! nothing is too much trouble, The food is on another level, cooked fresh, plenty of it, tastes delicious and worth every penny! so lucky to have the Boat Yard on our door step! 5* HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
