Melisi

Came here yesterday for an early family evening dinner - was not disappointed, Melisi Northwood offers EXCELLENT Napolitan style pizza. I've had Napoli style pizza all over London and many parts of Italy and the texture of the base, softness of the crust and charring was up there with the best. If I was being picky then I would say the dough was just slightly under seasoned compared to the best out there. I ordered a Margherita, which is always the "test" - which I really enjoyed but I felt that they may have been a TOUCH too much sauce was resulted in a slightly wetter pizza - no biggy for me as the sauce was fresh and delicious but others may object. I'd also say that the prices are slightly above what you'd expect to pay for a typical, high quality Napoli style pizza - which I didn't mind as out is a nice restaurant to dine in and service was good. I'd definitely come again - would be 5* if prices were more in line with other Napolitan pizza places in central London. The restaurant is also a lot nicer to dine in than their Ruislip counterpart. Recommended!

It sounds silly because it's my local pizzeria, but as someone who's travelled far and wide to eat proper neopolitan pizza, this is the best I've had. Their dough is something else and their (I think fresh, uncooked) tomato sauce is to die for. The margherita is all I ever get as the ingredients are of such high quality.
