The Refectory Bakery And Cafe - Norwich - Photo album

Part of the magnificent cathedral. It is quite a large area so can seat many people. The breakfast tea was very good, leaf tea rather than tea bags. Cakes were also very nice as was the fruit scone. Although it is up a flight of stairs there is a lift at one end if needed.
It is a really good experience to come to the refectory, it caused a very good impression. Lots of natural light, plenty of space and I lost count of the amount of staff working happy together. Good atmosphere with young and old people. Lovely coffee with alternative milk with an extra charge and ve

Incredible service, amazing staff who were really on the ball especially during a very busy lunchtime. The seasonal soup was incredible and the artistry on my hot chocolate 10/10
Wonderful selection of sandwiches and rolls. I had goats cheese, a very thick slice with salad. The pastries looked delicious, next time..... service was excellent. Tables cleared and cleaned quickly. Food and drink brought to the table.
I had a sausage roll and my mum had a feta and tomato tart... both were absolutely divine. They also had bread to taste - we tried the olive, cranberry and garlic.... it was heavenly. Great little spot to have a light lunch/coffee break when in Norwich. There's a lift available to take you up to The
I visited The Refectory for a meal after exploring the beautiful cathedral. My experience was fantastic: smiling staff, quiet & clean surrounding and wonderful food. I ordered the aromatic duck salad and some walnut & carrot cake and coffee. I left happy! Thank you so much. I will be back when in No

You don't expect a cafe in a cathedral to be modern, or to serve good coffee and pastries, for that matter. But that cafe actually does both. The coffee is from Caravan Coffee Roasters.
Modern twist on a historic site. Mezzanine area which had a vibrant buzz. Some outdoor seating under cover on either side of the eating area available. No need to book ideal for light lunch whilst out shopping in city centre for a peaceful break and reflection.
