It's a Sunny match Sunday, and any British pub worth it's salt is prepared for a crush of people looking to while away an afternoon in the sunshine.
The Coach and Horses takes the business if being a pub seriously. It has all the charm and warmth of an independent, family run pub but with all the trimmings of a national chain pub.
The staff are all top notch, friendly, welcoming people that all seem to have pride in the pub.
The menu has a fantastic blend of proper pub favourites and some variants towards those who fancy something a little different - battered sausage and curry sauce is a great beer snack!
The bar is phenomenally stocked and I was delighted to find a selection of iced teas refreshing to the palate and pocket too!
Considering how busy this place was, with loud outbreaks of football singing, it never seems rowdy or overly boisterous. You'd feel very safe here with your family.
The beer garden is lovely and has a roof for when it rains, but on Sunny days like this it catches those glorious rays all afternoon all the better to spend a while enjoying the beautiful British summertime.
Came in for a lunch time treat and a few of us had the breakfast. The bacon was excellently cooked and the beans were nice and thick with the addition of garlic. The young lady who I went with has a lot of experience with foot long sausages and thought the it was a little dry. Although the girth, length and shape was pretty decent. I thought the bacon jam was a unwelcome addition, would have been nice if it was warm. The black pudding was very tasty but probably needed to be a little crispier. The sourdough bread was what I would say “crispy”, if you did not have teeth it would be extremely difficult to eat. Luckily I do so was ok. It was a nice breakfast though
Others had the chicken sarnie which they thought was 8/10 with the nice homemade chips
Nice brewpub with free WiFi. 8 of their own beers on handpump. 2.30 for a half. They do food. They are dog friendly. Seats out front for nice weather.
We came here as visiting Bristol City fans before the match against Norwich. Have to say this one of the best away-fan friendly pubs I’ve come across. 10 minute walk to the ground. Very friendly staff and they do a special football food menu which was good value for money and the portion sizes were HUGE.
Great little traditional pub with their own real ale brewery and a good selection of other ales and beers to boot. The food menu looks good although I have not tried it. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Only 5mins walk from Norwich railway station . They seem to have a regular darts team. Real wood fired pizzas at special times
We spent a lunchtime in the pub, right by the real open fire. The beer was good, staff good. We had a lovely time
Lovely pub, friendly staff, good food choices. Pet friendly.
Really impressed yesterday. Certainly not our first visit, we normally book but this time we just rocked up. Two roasts. One chicken one beef. Both excellent. Lots of veg.
Really tasty and two for just under £30.
Great beer too.
Fire was on but a lot of tables in the way so heat doesn't carry too far but still wasn't cold in there.
Lots of people playing darts.
Staff engaged and seemed happy to be there.
Great start to the year. Well done team Coach and Horses.
Pint of Ruby in here is lovely, mate said the Guinness is great as well.
Very friendly place and very warm. Hard seats though, no cushions
Love this place. Superb bar staff, always friendly and bustling about. Well kept beer served in spotless glasses and a warm, down to earth atmosphere. An old school traditional feel to the place and certainly a go to place for a relaxing drink. Haven't eaten there yet but plan to soon.
