Britons Arms Coffee House And Restaurant - Norwich - Photo album

Fantastically quaint little retreat. The atmosphere and staff were great. The coffee and walnut cake was a little dry but the mocha was one of the best. Loved the cast iron pot for the tea. When we're hungry for more, this is certainly one of the places we want to revisit as the food coming out look
Booked a table for 4 for afternoon tea on a Saturday. Situated in an old medieval building on the corner of Elm Hill. We were sat downstairs and space can be a bit tight. We received fantastic service. Would definitely recommend their afternoon tea for price and quality. Good variety of sandwich fil
Lovely Roast dinner on Sunday. Beautiful building, great hosts and a great meal. I had a luxurious hot chocolate with my Roast beef with all the trimmings. Definitely going back for a breakfast or lunch.
Lovely salmon/horseradish quiche, new potatoes were great and salad. Service very good. Nothing was too much trouble. Prices very reasonable. Have been several times and never fails to deliver very good food and service .
Had a fantastic lunch here, homemade mackerel pate and a great salad with some unusual things like crunchy peas and pumpkin seeds, so good! Home made cakes, fantastic range of soft drinks, like rose lemonade. Great service too.
Really nice food at a reasonable price, generous portions. Outside beautiful but inside lacked ambience and character. This could be amazing but just needs some music, a little interior design help and some updated furniture. It's pub food in a cafe setting so there's a part of me that's looking for
My RIP (romantically involved person) and I visited here around 6 pm on a sunny Saturday after a couple of hours of mildly energetic rowing on the Wensum. Consequently, we were both thirsty and hungry, but what’s more in a bit of a hurry, as we had tickets to the theatre (Julius Caesar - don’t bothe
Perfect place for a delicious evening meal. The menu is varied and creative, the venue snug and full of character and the chef and owner, Richard Ellis, an amazing chap who was happy to chat through his menu and his incredible culinary book collection which added interest to an already wonderful eve
If you want a cracking Sunday lunch in a stunning part of town, give this place a try. The plates are piled high of quality tasty food, and for a very reasonable price. The building also has a lot of historical charm about it.
Had a wonderful meal here with friends. I have Celiac Disease and other dietary restrictions and they made me a delicious meal that fully complied with all my requirements. They made me feel respected despite my 'quirks' and even seemed to enjoy the challenge. Will definitely return and am highly re
Had a wonderful meal at The Britons Arms while in Norwich visiting with friends. Enjoyed a pork shoulder with potatoes, veggies and a great sauce. Reasonable pricing, nice atmosphere and fine service.
Glorious old building. The cosy garden has pleasant views of medieval churches. Interesting menu with GF options. I enjoyed the tasty vegan pie. I like the way the default sausages on the menu are vegan (with meat available on request 🥗!)
Afternoon tea with friends. £18 pp, a lovely setting & friendly staff.
Facilities must be too small or old as my meal had changed when I received it. Fortunately I didn't mind. They were very rushed and slow on the Sunday. Ideal for smaller coffee cake visits. Beautiful tasting cuisine though. Just not what I asked for. The vegan pie was also more bland than described.
I found out here by accident and turned out reallt good choice! They have really good menu options including foods and desserts. The atmosphere is recommended to read or stay shortly. The staff is nice!
Wonderful atmospheric, historic location, super warm and friendly service and excellent delicious food. Very reasonable prices. Lovely vegan options. One of the very best places to visit in Norwich.
Dropped in for coffee with friends while passing through Norwich. Quirky olde worlde building with friendly service. Hope to visit again and try the food as well.
We had veggie roast and it was delicious. Best veggie roast i had for a long time. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
