The Golden Star - Norwich - Photo album

Really enjoyed the pop up by Bun Heritage a few weeks ago. Initially they gave me the wrong meat. Then a plate of beef arrived which I ate as well as the first meat. Flavours were great for everything. The pub itself go do with a bit of a lift perhaps but I had a nice real ale. Next to try the Bun X
Lovely Sunday roast. Great pub. Looks a bit scruffy outside but it is delightful inside!
Golden Star is an excellent traditional street corner pub. The front bar has nice wooden floors with an unspoiled interior. There was a good selection of hand pulled cask conditioned real ales all in excellent condition. The landlord was very friendly and is a nice welcoming pub. A real highlight of
Amazing roast dinner on Sunday with delicious desserts.
Love this place, proper old school local. Not a huge selection of drinks, but changed regularly. Dogs welcome. 2 small bars. Bar billiards! Pretty little secret garden to the rear, and a small seating area out the front. Selection of board games and regular quizzes going on too.
Lovely Sunday dinner. Tasty food and friendly service. Highly recommended
Really nice traditional pub. The starters / tapas were amazing. Would highly recommend for a laid back drink and food outside of the city centre. Will definitely be back.
New roast dinners launched today. Outstanding quality and service. A must for any food lover. Weekend menu available too.
Great pub. Friendly staff great beer and always interesting people to chat with in the sun while enjoying a beer.
The beers we had were well kept and service was prompt. If you are on the City of Ale trail it is certainly one worth putting on your list.
Lovely staff, good variety of beers on tap, fun clientelle. Well worth a visit.
A really friendly, well kept old fashioned pub. Best Sunday lunch ever with all the trimmings. Great value for money. Real ales on tap. A welcoming fire in cold weather
Tasty roast with very friendly staff, nice chilled out music selection too. Good value at £12.95 for 2 courses.
Great selection of local beer. Also has a welcoming open fire. We'll behaved dogs and children also welcome. They also have good beer festivals and summer bbqs which are great. Well worth a visit.
Loved the pub. Visited 3 times in the last month. Made to feel very welcome. Table service at the moment. Very attentive staff.
They do a great small plates menu, ideal if you want a selection of things to try, food was excellent and good value for money, they are also dog friendly and have a great quiz on a Sunday evening.
Great little pub friendly and staff great told us they don't do cocktails. Guess what ? We had them making us cocktails 🍸 🤪 Doorman a great guy too, he thought it was funny when we where getting the ID of all the fit birds coming in 🤣😂🤣
Really delicious meal - fantastic Sunday lunch, the staff couldn't do enough for us, especially on a very busy day. Slightly annoyed that we couldn't all sit together hence 4 stars, but we were a party of 10. Food was generously portioned, hot and when we needed more veg we just asked.
A fabulous little find. It felt just like the 'local' pubs of old with lovely staff and customers. A special mention of Simone who was friendly, chatty and welcoming. Great atmosphere and tasty 'homecooked' food with a good selection of vegetarian options. Well worth a visit.
