The amazingly friendly atmosphere at The Roasting Barn is always welcoming, making me feel I am visiting old friends, chatting with other customers whilst sampling delicious food or cakes and, of course, coffee.

My uncle Tony Widmer brought us several wonderful kinds of coffee to try on his visit to Chicago and we loved them all. Such flavor and taste we really enjoyed them - we will need to come and meet this couple and the wonderful Ronnie soon.
Fast becoming our favourite coffee spot in Norwich. Slightly away from the busy city centre but still close to our office. It's easy not to spot this place - it's in a dinky and unpretentious old warehouse, tucked away by the river. We were charmed by the lovely owners who welcome everyone, with chat if you want it, or if you don't, with space to enjoy your own thoughts. To the good location and the friendly people, add great coffee at sensible prices and they've got us hooked. This is one of those places we're reluctant to review publicly in case it gets ramma-jammed. They deserve lots of success. Highly recommended. Our picks: oat capp°, iced tea, & perfect homemade squishy millionaire's shortbread.
Best cafe on king Street. Pete and Maggie provide a warm welcoming environment with great coffee (freshly roasted by The Hewison on site) and a varied menu of food, all highly recommended. My go to for breakfasts or lunches most days.
In this pandemic we tried smokey barn. They have their own coffee roastry and have varieties. The ambience is very refreshing and they are taking all social distancing measures.
Excellent service and coffee plus they had coconut milk for my dairy free wife's diet! Best coffee I have had in a long time. And you get the gorgeous aroma of freshly roasting coffee. Well worth a visit

Out of all the cafes in Norwich, Smokey Barn serves the freshest coffee! I watch Pete often roasting the various beans and it always smells great. He is meticulous at roasting -
only small batches at a time - to perfection which keeps the quality and continuity to the highest.
I highly recommended their coffee to anyone who appreciates great quality.
They also offer a great deal for buying several coffees in a hamper which makes a great present!
Great place for a coffee and rest and only a brisk 5 minute walk from the castle. Both owners very friendly and the coffee is great too, which ever one of the 15 or so you choose!
I found this place on my way to work - popped in for a coffee and have been a regular ever since. The coffee is superb and there is always a fantastic variety of freshly roated coffee beans available for sale. The drinks are take away only, but it's the best in Norwich. Owner is really friendly and full of great coffee making advice.

Amazing freshly roasted coffee, best I've ever tasted! Staff are super friendly and have a lovely little dog called Ron! Very reasonable prices and nice food makes for a definite 5 star review.
Full English breakfast is amazing, so tasty and some of the best hash browns and sausages I have ever had.
Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the pace is well done up.

Lovely people, great coffee, roasted on the premise and breakfast cooked in front of you. The 14 fresh roast coffee beans for sale are reason enough to visit. It's quirky and welcoming in a way that a chain could never manage, rather like sitting in someone's living room.
